Dx10z hydraulic fitting size

Why is it such a nightmare to sort sized unf, bps, metric etc

Trying to plumb auger on dx10 no where to take it to try out fittings this female Adapter fits the mate in machine bit it’s wrong on other end. Need female to male and what bsp metric? Got a call in with fitters from dealer to return call but non so far

Already got 2 sets of adapters off eBay that are wrong

My E10 came with 3/8bsp as standard. However both the E19 and E27 required metric to bsp adaptors.

Actuallly- it's possible I replaced the whole bulkead assembly on the E10 with an adaptor fitting to keep the conneciton point a sensible way up the dipper! I can't really remember.

Your quick coupler will be DN06- that's the bit that joins to the other coupler. That's pretty much standard for this size machine and attachments. You need to ID the thread on the bulkhead coupler. See here:

You could use an adaptor, or just get a pair of DN06 couplers with the correct thread. Either way, you might as well learn to ID threads otherwise you'll be playing parts bingo with all manner of well meaning but totally incorrect advice. Example:

Those are metric fittings! Probably M16, probably better to get adapted to BSP, as BSP flat face coupling are more readily available.

they do a set of thread gauges for hydraulic fittings. Quite dear but may be good for some people.

as Mick said ... look to be metric to me, but better pix needed ... take the hose end off the adapter will give you a fair clue as to whether they'm BSP cone or metric O ring

Just going by the cap type used! These are normal for metric, the photo not great for the size, M16 was a guess, but could anything starting with an M!

I had a real runaround with some hydraulic bulkhead fittings on my Bobcat (where the hoses for the blade come out of the front of the machine) - they weren’t BSP (but looked like they were to my layman eyes!). I can’t remember what they were now but I had the wrong hose made up 3 times……..

They don’t have a lot of JIC listed online, infact the site is terrible to search on!!
