Josh
et al collected Clara from school. One of their friends and their two year old were supposed to be attending too, 'til they called, laid low with some gut bug going around -
deffo keep that to yourselves please -

- so one (3) short
anyway they all had a rare old time and consumed much birthday tea treats ...

the liberal 'scattering' of insect life was for the 4 yr old who is 'bug mad' and goes around with a tub collecting any he can find - constantly

Tea was topped off with Granny's
'pièce de résistance' ... which got a terrific reception

wasn't a lot of it left, by the time they all left tonight
Earlier in the day they'd all been out to a local castle at Grosmont, for a walk /
play time .. I opted to remain here and re-assemble what was our house, 'til yesterday evening ... after their arrival

and when they got back J's wife couldn't find her phone (nothing new there

) and never has the ringtones turned on (very bloody helpful)

searched the place, high and low and concluded she'd left it on the roof of the car, when they departed for the castle jaunt

.....having walked the entire length of our drive searching, concluded it was between there and the castle ...... after a very slow drive back there they found it - on the road/lane - right in the 'running track' ....................without a mark on it

told 'em not to bother with the lottery for the rest of this year, at least - bloody miracle it was in one piece, let alone unmarked ......
Josh had obviously had a very steady drive for damned near 4 miles, before a sharp right turn saw it
exit stage left, into the scenery
