I must confess I've never had a car or bike for the speed reason..... bad enough in a Iveco Tipper or larger..... Neither of which storys can be said on here.
I'll meet you in the "backroom" for that then👌

Had my fair share of points and taking the train!!
My tip, take an old Discovery with 3.5ton on the back and points are I thing of the past!!🤣🤣🤣
That wouldn’t slow me down, had our 3.1 ton rock bucket behind the old man disco4 on a mission to over take a lorry going up a crawler lane on the a77 she managed 80 no problem with more in the tank 😅😂

Where did I say D4. When I said old I meant D1
Chopped a few d1 & d2’s up in the past 🤣 best place for them. Used to buy them for site vehicles for the wind farms we done run them till they died then try make one out of two or three.

I had a count up today and there is 1 Range Rover classic, 2 D1s, one D2, a P38 and a Range Rover sport. They are listed in order of importance!!

I don't even know what the speed limit is most the times I'm driving round. Just drive to condition of the road. Was pissed when I got flashed by smart m1 northbound cameras where they had dropped the limit but must be been ok as nowt ever came of it.

30 years of tear arsing about on 2 wheels and done once on way back from bike shop on my newTL1000 🙄
Like druid says observation and fast in the right places helps your chances.
Its risky here now and the idiots have dropped limit to 80k thinking it will help bad drivers die less, seems everyone is going so slow they get bored go on their phones and take to the ditch on perfectly straight roads 🤷‍♂ anyhow I refuse to accept I cant have a bit of fun in the right place at the right time.

'fore a toddle down the end of the drive to the post box with granny .... and 'do for' some of the ice down there ... Clara loves breaking up ice ... shold hae brought her a spade to do a proper job with :giggle:

WP_20210210_14_44_16_Pro.jpg

just grateful that what little snow we have had, has all but gone and that we did not get what some of you guys around the country have had ..... some of it looks pretty severe TBF .... granny legged it back to the house - she'd had enough ... Clara wanted to go break the ice on the pond up by the horse's barn ...

and after thirty more minutes out in it Clara'd had enough and was ready to go back (which is unusual for her) ... and even more unusual was "Grand dad I'm cold, I can't feel my hands or my feet" .... she usually 'runs' pretty hot ... "you want a piggy back, back to the house? " " Please grand dad ... didn't think you could still do piggy backs?? " LOL  .... was a fair toddle back, but we 'made it' .. she's growing fast - 35mm this last month  - and doesn't get any lighter by the day :giggle:
mornings with us are, granny and online schooling, plus whatever work Pam has to download for her ...... after lunch is whatever she wants to do - usually involving grand dad ;) ........ nice to be able to get outside today, for a change - been too grim since our nose dive in the mud incident last week :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Forecast for next week's 10 -11C ..... after getting through a bitter weekend and more possible white sh1te

the answer to the second Q depends on whether we're talking first thing or bed time ...... this time of night and after a quarter mile piggy back ... probably 'bout 4" :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: ....... today!!

5 ltr V8 ... can only be a stroked 4.6 - no room left to bore it out any further ...... no thanks ....... unless it's a stroked 4.0L, then a little more chance of long term survival:rolleyes: as long as they ain't reamed them bores out any bigger  .... blocks were known to be porous and did not like getting bored. The 4.6s were lap of the gods beyond 80-90ish K ..... trust me !! :(
