I'm wondering if druid's line is getting some voltage from a electric fence or something, but sounds like he needs something sat on it monitoring line voltage for a long period of time.
Naaaa. He has tapped into the 50V, connected it to an inverter and running a milling machine off of it probably :ROFLMAO:

Ack, not bothered, they know their s**t, that's the important thing, and they will be on BT's case to get things sorted.

did have a discussion with the last engineer about 'rain' ...... summat affects our TV every day 'bout 10 am, if it's on and again about 9-9.30 every evening ..... blacks it out or turns the screen all pixelated .. can almost set yer watch by it .... I reckon it's something telemetric ... there's a water storage tank above us ..... a BIG one belonging to WW ... I'd bet they either operate a valve or run a pump up ... but reckon that's a secondary issue

Josh from SSE has a specialist engineer booked for the 13th ..... he'll not be leaving 'til he can come up with some satisfactory answers ..... he'll have a job getting past a 'drema parked behind his van ........ with a bucket hovering:ROFLMAO:

Wasn't there a whole village that kept dropping out because of someone's TV?

Repetitive Electrical Impulse Noise (REIN) and Single Isolated Impulse Noise (SHINE)
last young fella here doubled our speed to 4.1mb by remaking a complete set of connections in one of the 30 odd joint boxes in the line between us and the exchange (after the Giles,s used to keep lopping the lines hedge cutting -- lines were laid on top of the hedges for a long time - too lazy to string them up on the poles) ....... bet that creates REIN

Yes,if the hedges have electric fences along them.

cable is now strung on the poles Alex ...... but virtually every pole has a joint ... on a long tail down to road level, so they can get at them without waiting for a cherry picker to rock up:mad: .... so quite possible
