There is a lot of stuff I would buy!! End price will bear no resemblance to current winning bid by the close though!!
yep ...... but if it's under 1200 quid'd be cheap .... with the gap block and 4 jaw 17'd be cheap .... the chucks for them are SEEEERIOUS bucks:oops: ... 2000 rpm is going round ... anything but the right chucks have been known to burst :oops:o_O..... the gap block is dedicated to each machine :(

" The 30-inch Capacity Triumph 2000 weighed approximately 1170 kg and the long-bed 50-inch version around 1280 kg.. "

the 60" Mastiff 1400 was only 2470kg .. and made the 2000 look like a toy
" The 40-inch between-centres Mastiff 1400 was 98 inches (2520 mm) long and weighed 5110 lbs (2320 kg)
the 60-inch between-centres lathe was 118 (3030 mm) inches long and weighed 5440 lbs (2470 kg)
the 80-inch between-centres lathe was 138 inches (3535 mm) long and weighed 5770 lbs (2620 kg)
the 100-inch between-centres version was 158 inches (4045 mm) long and weighed 6350 lbs (2880 kg)
the 120-inch between-centres version was 178 inches (4045 mm) long and weighed 7160 lbs (3250 kg)

All were the same width - approximately 42 inches (1070 mm) from front to back. "

40" Mastiff is my choice ... just hard to find:(

Reo no show this morning ? bearing in mind that Nigel down the garage / shop had asked me yesterday if i'd seen him .. not been in since Thursday ... and i knew he'd been planning a couple of wet days dropping firewood, I was wondering? tried to ring him - ansafone, text him - nada!!
Rang the garage ... "you seen Reo this morning mate? " " Not since Thursday morning! " so jumped in the car and shot off to his place about 5 miles away ... he's 60, diabetic, got no phone line or any service where he lives.!!
got there and no sign ... was about to go down his wood and have a look and he appeared round the corner of the house.
Phew !!

" was worried when you didn't show and no one's seen you since last Thursday " " Weather was s**t first thing and thought we said Tuesday, 'fore it was gonna clear up " " no prob.s just didn't want to find you under a tree " .... so quick cuppa, a gander at his Carrera S4 and came home after a natter  ...... he's looking forward to getting the last few bits of wall down tomorrow, couple of step faces and the last two concrete infills, before starting on the flag copes (y)
not been much of a day ... heavy on and off ... so burnt a load of rubbish and a bin full of leaves ... I'd intended to bag up all the spare 40mm clean after ...... 'til it lashed down that was ... had just about cleared up ... by the time we had to collect Clara from school, so that was the end of any prospect of getting anything done :(:giggle: ......... Manjana ;)

a dry morning after a night's torrential down pourings .... Pam was enthused about getting her new bag of Solent spread about ... she wasn't doing the shovelling ..... looks better with the levels brought back to where they were once
WP_20201103_10_04_17_Pro.jpg

full bag of shingle went in there ... could o with a few more shovel fulls in places ... can see a couple more bags ending up arriving, by the time we do around her veggy boxes too
Reo was cracking on with the last bit of wall ..... and came down with a smile on his face, mid morning, to start on the last two step faces ..
WP_20201103_13_16_56_Pro.jpg

I in the meantime had got meself set up to do summat I'd been wanting to do for ages .... clear up the last pile of 40mm clean ...
WP_20201103_11_32_15_Pro.jpg

six bags later ....
WP_20201103_12_38_12_Pro.jpg

it was all bagged and ready to get stuck out the way, round by the sand and agg. bags (for now at least)
taking 'em two at a time was favorite, so stuck me forks on the blade ....
WP_20201103_14_35_56_Pro.jpg

with a good chunky pallet .... stuck a bag on there and t'other on the bag lifter, for a trip round the corner to park 'em ...thought i'd got some more pix, but either forgot 'em or they didn't take ??
easy way of shifting two about though
Laid this lot out, in readiness for bedding down tomorrow ....
WP_20201103_16_59_24_Pro.jpg

having worked out the fit on paper, Sunday .... getting beaten by the light though .....
WP_20201103_16_59_32_Pro.jpg

hence the poor pix ....
first time i've had these on in a while

WP_20201103_17_13_56_Pro.jpg

thought they were a bit lacking .. then realised that they were just the boom lights .... 'nother four on the cab roof, I'd forgotten to turn on !!
not so lacking behind.....

well that was 90 minutes of my life I won't get back ... 80 minutes on hold to Barclaycard ... 10 minutes checking out a transaction that didn't 'ring right', but proved apparently legit .. 80 minutes FFS  wait time was predicted at 40 ..... at least it's logged if there're any 'issues' at any future point.

better version of last night's pic .. -2C here this morning ... everything covered in ice, from a shower in the night

It's a very human response to pick up an unwell child and hold them till they feel better. It's a risk you run by having her in school with the other window lickers.

Not sure if it helps relay your fears...but in the nursing home my Gramps is in. 20 old folk tested positive....we presumed a massacre...but nigh on 2 weeks on..1 is poorly plus the matron rest are OK...wtf is going on. These are the most vulnerable etc and have shielded for 8 months now with no visitors etc...🤔🤔

Covid testing in care homes of those testing positive about half are showing no signs of it at all, so by no means a blanket killer of the infirm.
