Stonework is very region specific not just in stone type but also style. Personally not a fan of pointed Stonework i think it would spoil it.

Its not dry just raked back - perfect as is i reckon, you couldn't/wouldn't point that.

walking past Reo's mixer this morning I spotted a 'lump' of cement ..... when I looked there's this ....

in a bag ..... bought 8th July .....

see how much more we find like it?

shot some black stuff on the rock this morning and spread it about, so's I could get 'an angle' on the IBCs .... couldn't be arsed to put the VA-r on , for a couple of lifts .... that there sleeper rack was gonna need all the capacity i had, without half a tonne of tilty on board .. ...... and I did ... twere 'kin heavy

dropping this was not an option .... a very careful operation ......

had to 'cock a leg, for that last foot ..... I do a fair balancing act, but as said .... dropping it was not an option ...... could've dropped the blade and leg properly, but i'd gotten this far and just wanted that bit extra
It's coming .....

...... got one lump to extract tomorrow that the pallet's collapsed under ; it's a good 700ks and a slippery lil' bar steward to try to sling ... the rest is relatively plain sailing ..... an' it's all coming out, 'fore i go any further with spreading ........ just gotta relocate the heap and i cna have a straight run at it all from virtually one spot .... the one the heap is parked on ..... chuck it where I leveled today and it'll all drag back across with the beam .... 10ft+ at a time once i get the 40mm in to level round the edge .... and a few pallets of gash rocks in the bottom ... they'm vanishing quietly

been damned damp, on and off today .... but very warm ... might get the predicted heat wave yet ..... still shirtsleeves this evening .. even now at 11 o'clock ..... P.M.

You do realise that's a packing date we've had no end of those blue bags that are half set when there left outside there must be pin holes in the bags they get a lump of visqueen or the top of the pallet wrap over them now

the idea of the poly bags is not to have to piss about with 'em .... I've had 'em last 12 months and more .... this un's from the bottom of the heap too .. seen virtually no weather either
as for the date ..... I'd be well pissed if it was 2 year old stock packed on that date

well we had engineer #4 here yesterday morning ..... at 08.00 ..... Josh at SSE (our 'net provider) is really giving 'em sh1t ..... he got the same results as Steve did last Tuesday and ian on Thursday ... and whatever the other fell's name was Monday and all the ones after Steve also got the full low down from me, before ringing Steve to find out WTF the issue is ... banjaxed over head up on the road .. they don't want to pay to replace it ..... if i knew where it was they'd have to ...... after i put an axe through it ...Josh, in fairness, has made it his mission now, having told him about it, to make them replace it

found a new router lying on the floor by me gate when I locked up tonight ..... bloody posty must've come onto me patch to turn round ..... 'kin stupid place to leave the damned thing, with all the other options available/places to park it ... must've failed to get me attention ... had my back to the house/patch most of the day ....... Josh at SSE said he'd send one, so's when Openreach suggest new gear he can say "done that"

Openreach engineer told me a while ago ... 'fore we changed to SSE ... all the BT customers are last in the queue for repairs ... the likes of SSE, etc. get priority for repairs ..... used to wait 2 weeks for an issue with BT and had to chase Gupta in Mumbai whenever you rang 'em ... SSE are UK based help line, who speak and understand the Queen's English AND have priority on issues ... Josh (the lad who's on our case) can get an engineer out next day hence 4 in a week ........ and they're less than half the price that BT were ripping me off for BB ... which was total crap

think blue circle are the only polybag suppliers ....... certainly round here ..... paper bags, membrane or not, are crap ... as said, I've had poly last fine over a year ....... opened and used one earlier this year which was four years old ...... went off like concrete .... will never buy another paper bag

I got some lafarge (blue circle) today that were in paper bags. Thats what the brickies wanted

Try and get some Castle Cement in poly, the seem much better than the Blu Circle. We rarely get a bad bag of the Castle stuff, and has a good long shelf life.

blue circle is cheaper though....

been a seriously hot, busy day .... with a lot of stuff 'flying' about ......

they have a perfect lift point with two really nice apertures to get a pair of hooks into
flying plate......

I love camlock plate clamps ...... makes life so easy

having got it air-borne, I stuck it on summat solid, so's i could get hold of the b'stard again at a later date ......

don't come much more solid than me bench .. for now anyway
next out was me ram collection .... several pairs and a couple of beasts .....

followed by a very foooooked and quite large pallet that once brought a press from America .... struggled to contain it's load of wheels and tyres today .... in fact it didn't

60% took off fine .... the other 40% stayed put bugger !!!!!!! ..... time for some lunch ..... and a change of clothes ... jeans had to go and the shirt was so stuck to me I thought I'd have to cut it off ... what a struggle to get a polo off ...... food, shorts and a cheesecloth later, plus a bit of a square up from the disastrous lift ...
having gotten all I could from that angle, 'twas time to shift the heap

and wrangle out another heavy mother ......

.......must be pushing 3t on that pallet .. maybe more; 8 x 4 S/steel sheets, some MS ones and God knows what else ...... plus a serious fork mast, off an aisle stacker with a metre reach scissor on it .... was well pleased it moved with out collapsing
another balancing act, landing it where i wanted it, out the way .....

another 'heavy enough' collection of all sorts .... including the remains of a Bomford ...

hard to believe all this lot came out of that corner

and there's more behind that lot
getting there though ......

all hand ball, for after tea ..... and square up an assortment littered about too ....... here's an 'oldy' for the LR enthusiasts amongst you all ....

split rim, HD, NATO spec. for 109s IIRC ....... it's butty is on Humperdumper .... this and a n other are the other 'corners' for Humper ....

finished off the evening with the usual incineration of the days accumulation of knackered pallets and sundry crud .... no dumpies tonight though .... gash timber and a mountain of dry leaves .......

........still going well when I looked half an hour ago

dropped the lid on it, propped open a bit ...... keep the flying ash to a minimum ... 's all pretty dry out there after today's heat
better remember to water Pam's flowers in the morning ..... or i'll be in deep tish

pretty sure the 4 year old one was Castle ....... will look tomorrow, think there's another two there ... IIRC red and black bags ... Blue circle is all you can get 'round here, these days, in poly,s and only from the one merchants .. 't others are all paper

Sparty warming his back on 4 knackered pallets .... was in a sweat shirt 'til lunchtime, when the mist/cloud burnt off .... then 'twere 'ot again
and Squeak keeping an eye on it whilst it burnt down a bit ......

did get the rest of me 40mm down this morning

and been busy on other things all day ...
been mucking this out ......

picked it up yesterday afternoon ...... and it was like a tip in side .....

God knows how many years of crap accumulation were in there ...... but the spiders all had pension books !!

drove well on the way home and pulled top all the way up our pitch ... which is a fair climb .... brakes are 'interesting' though .... but who needs fancy things like brakes!! .... bit of attention required !! ..... going on the bottle of DOT4 in the cab and the spongy pedal, they probably want bleeding
built like the proverbial brick crapper
so tomorrow it gets parked on me rock fill and pressured off ....... after it's had the air line over the rads and all the dry bit o' crud laying about on/in it

then i can finish laying me planings

suggestions for some new seat squabs for that seat anyone?? looks either Kab parts or Bostrom ..... it's suspended and tune-able to weight
