do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
well yesterday was a bit frantic ..... rudely awoken by Pam at 08.00 ..... "get up .. Reo's outside the gate " .. this is the stone mason fella we've not heard a word from since Pam gave him an earful, the week before last !! who we did not expect to turn up yet again ... **** me he did!!

So dragged some clothes on and shot down to let him in ... plenty of sand and cement ... but all me bags of stone were buried behind pallets of tish :( .... so whilst he got his gear set up and had a coffee, I set to with the 'Drema extricating some bags on pallets, to get him going .... didn't dare try the bag lifter .. no way would the bags survive a lift out from behind said pallets of crud ... especially as they've been sat well over 12 months and they'm very well stuffed, by yours truly.

Anyway ... there was stuff every where, but i prevailed and he had some bags down to the start point PDQ ...

the bit of stone work already there was my efforts, quite some time ago ... Pam had wanted tight joints to look like dry stone ..... then changed her bl**dy mind and I got PO-ed with the whole affair and sourced Reo to come give me a price
was half ten 'fore I sat down for me hamster juice and some brekky but he was cracking on. Straight back to it, half twelve ...
and had it strewn about every where, by half two, with most of what I had to get out, out, aside from a couple that were deffo a VA-r job to get at

then it was a rapid shower and a quick change ...... we had an appointment to go to ..... here ...
WP_20200713_15_44_10_Pro.jpg

first time i've been out of here since the 16th March ... was weird !!
we'd actually had this sorted, all paperwork done and notices given in February .... first thing I did after my return home from the Heath hospital, once fit enough to sort it ... and an appointment for the 23rd march ....... then lock down knackered that .... and we got postponed ... 'til further notice

well fair play to 'em, soon as they were able (and open again) they were on the blower, as we were the first ones to get 'suspended' so gave us first option on a date, when they were back (y) .... our only limiting factor were these two ...

Chris has worked all through it and Vicki is now sort of back in school, so had to fit in with their schedule of free/available times ... so 'twas four o'clock yesterday ..... we got 'married' .. sort of ....
107824489_1015751462175217_3234392027810194251_n.jpg

we're neither particularly, (if at all),of any religious persuasion ... have talked about doing it for years ... but never really felt the need .. been together 21 years .. "don't try to fix what ain't broke " ...
then they announced the new heterosexual civil partnerships recently, which sounded ideal to us ....
and after lying in A&E, in agony, back in January, wondering if I was going to get to go home again :cry: and worrying about the seriously large tax implications for Pam, if anything happened to me, I'd decided then, ... it was gonna have to get done A.S.A.P. and that was before all of this Covid s**t !!
so we did it ... yesterday ... eventually ........ first one the local reg. office has ever done :giggle:

not quite what we'd envisaged and we can celebrate it at some point in the future ... when/if life ever returns to some level of normality
Shocked Pam's sister and her hubby when we told them today  ... only people who knew were Pam's kids ...... and this little un ..
107834509_597145164535340_3560706702172701162_n.jpg

she had a great time ....
107869958_484462795721720_1477336812184424606_n.jpg

when we got there we were 'greeted' through that open window beside Pam ..... and I thought, hell we're going to have to do this through a window FFS :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
then 'twere back to the house for ..... Pam's choice of dinner ... an extremely nice 'takeaway' from an Italian place in town that's started doing 'em, due to Covid ... like the rest of the world ... bloody good it was too :giggle::giggle:(y)

Pam had sorted her flowers, courtesy of Vicki's shopping skills ... Pam's good at arranging 'em and even done a triple decker cake for 'the event' ... (which was too sweet for even my sweet tooth - forgot the lemon juice in the frosting apparently :oops:o_O:()
109665255_1159413254436215_488017991539914194_n.jpg

but it all went off fine ..
and I will be a lot less 'nervous' about getting out a bit for the odd errand, with suitable precautions taken, obviously !:);)

early start again for me this morning ... open up and be ready for Reo's arrival ... and get the last bags out, I couldn't get at yesterday...
weapon deployed, for 'winkling' 'em out
WP_20200714_12_09_32_Pro.jpg

and everything else that'd gotten strewn about ... relocated yet again .... in a much smaller space with all the bags of stone shifted ....
WP_20200714_17_56_53_Pro.jpg

damn .... out o' pix again :(

Congratulations to you both Graham 👏 😀
A big party in the garden when Pam gets her wall finished no doubt 😁👍
thank you Aiden .....
we'll have even more cause to celebrate when that damned wall gets finished .... will stop that funny whining noise in my ears ... but dare say the pitch will change to a new 'tune' .

Biggest cause for celebration is

to HMRC and death duties ... Pam'd get to keep it all :giggle::giggle: and also gives the kids a much larger allowance ....... plan ahead .. you DO NOT know what's around the corner ........ ESPECIALLY these days :cry:

Congratulations Pam & Graham, and well done for making sure it happened 👍

although I can’t help wondering, Graham, if it’s all a plot to create an excuse for an extravagant wedding present to yourself?......
