Good to "hear" you again!
Like my old pal often says....every day above grounds a bonus:confused::LOL:
thank you guys .... couldn't put anything up from me hospital bed - - too wacked out /off me face and no 'net on me phone .... old faithful's steam power is my only portal into the ether

I have a saying too, when friends ask how i am ... "upright, breathing and under me own steam - do me for now !! " :giggle:
didn't expect any repeat performances of 2010, as I do me best to maintain the 'status quo' for the ol' bod and have learnt what does and how not to, piss it off
I'm pretty sure the U/S guy caused this, but until i have a chance to sit down with me consultant for a proper discussion about the 'new pills' , I can't completely rule them out ....... BUT .... I was fine/fit as, when i walked into the hospital, fifteen minutes 'fore getting pole-axed 🤬

Yeah have had heavy sideways rain and lots of wind
Last Sunday night a feed cable to a house on a pole across from my place dropped and caused a good fire works show (I rung it in to Western power ) but in doing so caused the over heads to lose neutral so voltage went nuts and spiked 20 houses mine included lots of things went pop rang western power claims line 10 o'clock Monday morning and Monday lunchtime their contactors were down going through the properties one by one making lists and then they were back down Wednesday installing and repairing anything they couldn't Monday

that's impressive Stu ....... whenever our leccy trips ... which is frequently ... our induction cooker goes nuts :( .. can take 24 hrs to get its head back together and seems to get worse every time it happens
I might have words with them next time it goes down .... can trip half a dozen times of an evening / day sometimes and has been a right PITA the last couple of days with the winds we've been getting ........ 'puter's none too impressed either

LOL ... took me a minute or two to suss that one ..... full a la carte tonight Boyo (y)
Hope your dad makes a speedy recovery ... annoying when things get screwed up :(..... I certainly won't be having any more U/S scans anytime soon ... MRI or now't in future .... non contact, non invasive ..... we will be having serious discussions, at my next consult, when he's back from his skiing trip

In fairness he's a very good chap and was down to see me in A&E, on the 31st, as soon as he'd been told they'd put me in there .... think I caused a bit of a panic in the U/S suite o_O  .... judging by the throng of 'bodies' I had surrounding me, in minutes ....... Pam said i looked bloody rough when she eventually arrived, later in the day ... certainly bloody felt it 🤬

it's gonna be a while @Rob65 ..... I'm like a wet chamois ...... haven't weighed yet . .. see what I've lost
well the score is 15 lbs ... not as bad as the 3+ stone in 2010 ... but enough  .... appetite much better ... just have to not overdo it ... a bit and often .
'Nother hamster juice this afters and spleen feeling more like it should this evening ... couple more to catch up hopefully and that should be back to where it was at the beginning of the year ... then just keep on top of it .... now got me local GP nagging me to go see her, to catch up on events ... will have to wait 'til the weather calms down ... Aber is apparently gridlocked still, with half the roads in/out, closed  :(

Sounds like you need a AMF panel Druid. Deep Sea Electronics make some lovely ones, they will monitor your mains, once it goes out of whack they have a contactor pair over your incoming mains and will let the mains incomer out, fire up your genset, and then pull in your generator contactor. They will then monitor the incoming mains, and once that comes back on within parameters for x period of time, they will switch you back - then put the genny into cooldown (for however long you set) - if mains goes again during that period it can put you straight back on again. You've already got the set, just need remote start and come gubbins on your incomer :)

pretty sure that's what she has in the control cab. Alex .... is all set up for standby cut in and even remote modem switching/monitoring .... if all wired in .... 'tis one techy box o' tricks ... Now't but the best for the waterboard it was originally spec.ed by, for their pumping stations' standby units. (y)

might consider utilising it at some point in the future ;)
