has been pretty ;kin windy here the last few days .. have had to recover this three mornings on the trot
WP_20261011_11_33_41_Pro.jpg

a week later it'd gone down a bit and was feeling a bit less 'ouchy'
WP_20261011_20_13_35_Pro.jpg

couldn't work out yesterday WTF Brûlée was making such a noise upstairs -- usually comes up, settles down and don't hear a peep out of him 'til he's hungry again at which point there's a thud on the floor as he jumps down off the bed ... sounded like he was break dancin' up here so came to investigate --- and ........

bloody fur took some cleaning up - was everywhere
disposed of the ex-bunny, looked down the garden and he's down there looking for another one :LOL:

Rang the GP's Monday morning to see about having my stitches pulled, expecting a wednesday job .. " No problem I've booked you in with Emma for 3 o'clock today "
Into town for three and get called in to meet 'Emma' .. very nice in all senses of the word :giggle:
explained to her how I'd 'paid my stupid tax' and she said that Hereford had sent my 'notes' down already and she was expecting much worse, as it'd been listed as 'man versus chainsaw' - 7 stitches to back of hand
now i counted six going in the flesh and Emma could only find five ... " keep an eye out for any more and come back if you find 'em " .... there is deffo one more in there somewhere for sure
Fairplay, she was very good both at extracting a very stuck dressing and at getting the five she could find out (y)
looking pretty fair tonight when I took the dressing off to let it 'air' and put a new one on, as instructed, every other day
Gaucher's sufferers ain't 'sposed to heal like I do :giggle::giggle:

not done a great deal this last week or so ... do not wanna bump the danny and cause any more grief to it

George's funeral in the a.m. ... got one of his and my ex pupils coming here to go down with me, who's become a good friend over the last forty odd years (we went to his wedding) -- Parking will be a nightmare down there so better one motor than two and I'll slide down Penbidwal Lane, which i only drive when necessary, get a spot at the bottom and leg it the few hundred yards from there to the chapel .... expecting a good turnout (y) ... 'least the forecast is decent too

outstanding turn out for George today .... must've been 300 folks turned out to pay their respects .. had a long chat with/interrogation by his youngest daughter about my 'connection' with him and was fascinated by the story :) ... would've liked to have gone to the wake after, but was running out of time to go collect the girls from school .... told this evening that there were a lot of ex school staff there I'd've liked to have seen, who'd been to the crem. but had gone straight there instead of the remembrance service ... hadn't heard about the crem. or I'd have gone to that too :(

got Russ coming in the a.m. .... needs his gate posts modifying ... can't get hold of Rio to do the stonework round them .. was gonna do a rebated/hidden hinge set up, but the Polish guy he's found doesn't feel capable of doing such an intricate detail apparently, so gotta extend them and have them showing :(:censored:
be nice to see him .... not done for a while ... 'sposed to be a decent day tomorrow for a spot of bench-ing ;)

well 'the boy' eventually turned up --- 9.45 he rang to say he was on his way ----- must've gone via Caerrrrdiff ... turned up just after 11.30  ... long half hour drive that :ROFLMAO:
got the 'Drema would up, cos he'd got 'em on a pallet, with an old chain locker box on top of 'em - box was more like a small safe and unmanageable by hand - prezzy for me he was binning otherwise - got the forks on her and the pallet on 'em - went to slew round and nearly took the side out of his van ... forgot there was another 3 ft of posts beyond what I could see :LOL: - so having driven forward several feet to clear my already tight lift, they went on the bench one at a time on a sling, after we'd gotten the chain box off the top of 'em and dropped that out the way
wanted another 133mm on the hinge length and rather than butt welding a bit in between, in situ, lopped 'em off, extended them by 200mm and lapped them on top of the existing butt left on the posts ... he could cope with an extra 10mm of height :giggle:
WP_20261016_13_19_01_Pro.jpg

two done and back on the pallet then back in the van - quick cuppa and Russ was away by half three and I had some lunch
Got some gear sorted for Sat. morning and it was tea time
In to Vicki's next morning with a trailer and chainsaw for te next load of conifer hedge ...

WP_20261018_15_07_36_Pro.jpg
