£150 for the valve, plus labour and their recovery fee (which was £30, quite reasonable IMHO). Came in a shade over £400 inc vat. I've had worse bills, and was steeling myself for double that.

comes out in the stream below the tanks :rolleyes: ...
went back up, with 'Excalibur' in search of the pipe end, which's been buried by all the crap brought down stream .....
got bloody drowned finding it in the stream bed ..pulled the length out the bed completely ..... whipped it up onto the bank and away it went :) problem solved :giggle: ......
rain's eased off, now I'm drowned :mad: ..... dry jeans required !!

Soo, there`s still a chance of getting my registration approved on there! Must of been waiting for 2.5 years or more.
that might be stretching the imagination a bit far :oops: :LOL: ... that'd rely on human intervention .... from the guy who's taken 4 years to deal with the various issues it had :(:cry::censored:o_O .... could always try a re-application and see what happens .... but don't hold yer breff :mad:

Haha...I would t even bother, it’s the best thing that could of happened to that place with him not showing an interest in it, yeh, there was a lot of information, but nothing that can’t be answered on here. Your not usually waiting more than 12 hours on here for a responce from a question or cry for help, what Ross has put together here is fantastic, and that is shown by the numbers of members joining up.🙂

so having been edumacated in their nuances, via a Google crash course ... and supplied with dimensional parameters as to where it's likely to end up in Plymouth ---an 8' x 4' sheet wasn't required -- thank **** !! ... would've taken some filling, I set about said task ...

Been bloody cold standing about fannying with this though and didn't quite know WTF to start with it initially ... bit 'abstract' for my 'engineering mind' :unsure::confused::whistle::unsure:

Hopefully a couple more hours tomorrow'll see it wrapped up (y) ....... assuming i get any sleep tonight :rolleyes:....
very little un with a nasty cold and coughing fit to bust,
two year old who sleeps in fits and starts, when he feels inclined
and four year old Clara,
all in residence tonight :oops::oops:

ear plugs and defenders to hit the sack with i think ..... :LOL:

a 'Clara sleepover' with cousin Shem was Granny's idea .. she can deal with the inevitable consequences :giggle:

got left 'holding the baby' earlier, for half an hour, when the rest of 'em went out in the pitch black, with torches for the kids, on an 'owl hunt' ... of which there are plenty to listen to 'round here :).... little one is not well at all ... and I made damned sure they took phones with them .... in case ... way above my pay grade, skill set or experience !!! :(
