You still carry on any kind of tax insurance? I took it out this year for the first time. Claimed a certain relief when I bought this place and although I've got it in writing from HMRC that I was elidgble it's likely to throw up a few red flags. What i saved will pay a good few years of insurance.

I did for a couple of years Jim, but was getting dearer, year on year ... having consulted with my old accountant, he considered the possibility as negligible after three years of stumping up ..... I might consider it next year, as it'll be their last chance for a 'bite'

I got £138 back last week. Was well chuffed!
early crimbo prezzy from HMRC :giggle:..... shouldn't blow it all in a hurry, in case they come looking for it back :(..... HMRC are in a complete shambles ATM apparently

We haven't heard a dicky bird about probate yet .... chatting to my solicitor, picking his brains, two weeks ago, he's still chasing submissions from May :oops: .... says it's the worst he's ever known it .... at least he can chase 'em ..... as Joe Public, you're told categorically ... ''Do not bother us, we'll contact you!!''

Should've had a request to attend interview weeks ago, from 'em :(

The database should be able to cope with numbers bigger than that. 2147483647 I think.

Friday night's rain and most of Saturday's here, as in most other parts of the country, was 'biblical', ...... but missing the frogs!!

Been here 9 years and aside from one 20 minute monsoon deluge in 2012, have not seen so much water standing, with the drains struggling to handle it all, at the speed it was coming down !!

this is about two hours after it'd stopped persisting down late Saturday ...

more planings required to get this crowned to the edges ...
unreal !! pushing 7-8" at the very back end where me burning drum is when I was out in it earlier on, checking on the drains and flows.

..... but was draining quietly ... as this'd gone down about 1 - 2" since it'd stopped ..

the following morning it'd all percolated away .....

yon black tank had floated out from it's parking spot, to up against the 'Drema ... 'bout 3 feet !!

Sunday turned into a reasonable day, but chilly with it ....... so much so that by 23.00 it was this cold ........

Our cats don't want to be out at night now
Harry She has gone from only in for food to constantly in now
The end of last week the stone and pipe land drains I laid in fields at beginning of the year have started to run again now but field is so much better for it as before it would be running on the surface by now and unusable
You might want to add some perforated pipe to your drainage channels to help with large deluge of wet stuff
