just come back from town ... nearly had me front wing removed by some *rick in a black de-badged SUV --- I'm doing 60 and he left me standing .. AS14 AZZ into DVLA site and surprise surprise .. no such vehicle recorded - one of the SAS boys probably ... bet my search has just come up, red flagged in the guard room and possibly on line now too ... hopefully he'll get some earache, for getting his vehicle details flagged up

just about to sit down and do me obs. this morning 'fore my 'hamster juice' sesh ..
looked out the window and the pond pump is on its side pumping the pond out over the side quietly
shot out on the patio to upright it and see the pond's about 4" down, so dragged the hose round to refill it and thought odd?
WTF knocked it over and why is one of the pond plant pots in the middle?????
looked for the fish, assuming they were hiding behind a couple of other pots and nada ....
three of 'em're about 10 years old and the big fella is at least twenty - a good 17" of coy carp ....
no sign of any of 'em, like they'd been beamed up by Scotty!! looked all around the patio and lawn ..
no sign of anything ..
no scales, bones, bits - nothing ....
have assumed that we'd had a visit from a mink family in the night ...
one could not possibly have carted them all away ...
the big fella'd've fed 3 or 4 of 'em on his own .....
very very po-ED ..
having looked after them all and particularly the big un for so long, was sad and bloody annoying to lose them ... lost a load maybe ten years ago to a heron and caged the pond after that, which kept them away ...
didn't even consider marauding mink

We lost 5 chickens in one afternoon to a mink!
Caught it a few days later...only to watch it escape from trap through a cap you couldnt hardly for your finger through! Very weird critters.
We have a huge population here due to a mink farm being raided and thousands being let out by animal rights activists years ago... apparently I found out after.

why is everything worth taking an interest in, the other side of the bloody country ... found a nice 3.5t FLT in what looks to be good shape for sensible money, in ....... bloody Chelmsford ... almost as bad as Norwich -- 's a 400 mile round trip from here

already thought of similar ...
two options ...
put me blade forks on and carry him on the blade
or
put his blade on top of the 'Drema's blade, on the floor, swing around 180 and put his bucket on, either me VA-r forks facing backwards, or in my favourite 3ft Geith bucket , then lift blade a bit and boom up a bit - sorted
will try it when the weather is a bit more conducive to having a play about ....
would save a lot of tracking about for sure

I'm claustrophobic and have literally had to stop watching a couple of really tight squeezes - were making me cringe - would love to do it, but just could not handle it .....
some amazing things/sights to be seen

Actually watched a documentary the other night on the Nutty Putty Cave incident in Utah. Very sad we've done a few of the more accessible ones in dales etc but I draw a line at squeezes

Got the national show caves you can make a start at just down the roads from you Graham

Dan Yr Ogoff ... went there as a kid, 60 yrs ago ... probably improved a great deal since then ... they're pretty impressive by all accounts and the open to public bit is a tiny proportion of their entirety

Actually watched a documentary the other night on the Nutty Putty Cave incident in Utah. Very sad we've done a few of the more accessible ones in dales etc but I draw a line at squeezes

keeps coming up but don't feel able to watch it as it's bound to contain lots of squeezes and'd freak me for sure

Remeber my sister doing caving when younger and stories of having to take a deep breath and go through gaps/tunnels under water etc- bollocks to that.
