Happy birthday Druid

As you're getting on a bit there's never been a better time for a shed to protect all those toys tools from the harsh, cold and wet weather.

The plan should be just build the bloody shed and be done with it. Use the hell out of it while you can and drag out any legal issues with Council and neighbours until you're dead. Then it's some one else's problem and I'm sure they'll know what to do.

don't see the point in having the containers under the roof .. put them out either side - bigger covered area and the boxes're weather proof anyway ...... TBH if I thought I could get away with it, the roof'd be on 10ft legs with a 45 ft gap between the boxes ...... but I wouldn't - end of - not here in Monmouthshire - or Wales for that matter ... place is run by the Stasi

anything that reduces grunt is a good thing to have IMHDO ..... and at what it cost, it'll always move on and increase the value of the whole package too .... Lancs lad is already ogling it

and yeh .... 66 yesterday ... gotta wait another month for me first 'handout' ...... the bas**ds even keep you waiting for yer pension ..... where did all that time go?

My selector grab has a small check valve hard piped to both ports of the ram then hoses go away with banjo fittings also banjo fittings on ram ports
Cant remember how the check valve is held in place but seem to think it's a rubber block that is curved to the ram and flat on top with a large jubilee clip right around it

been a busy day with a lorra 'can you justs' ... mowed all the grass yet again - still growing well .. our little 'dry weather' spring is back for the first time this year ... only appears after it's been dry for a prolonged period of time.
Pressure washed three cars .. all covered in pollen and looking yellow and after tea ... set about the Haner
Only way I was going to get it sorted was get the ram out ... which eventually ended up with me taking half the grab apart to get the pins out

not got a huge stock of 1/4" fittings .. don't do much with 1/4" .. so had to work with what I had (and get more if needed) ... tried a few configurations

and eventually got ports lining up

had to use a tee and blank the one branch eventually - short of a fitting - but it was lining up nicely

the tab holding the cylinder base pin is a nightmare to get out/back in - one position only will it move and clear everything else -once you've removed the shell- it's shaped around the shell pivot boss ..
stood thinking HTF did they get this in there FFS

getting it all back together was 'interesting' ... and a bit tight ..

'bout the only unions I'm going to get in there are banjos ... will get some shorty tails made up and reckon the two long-ish 1/4" hoses I have should be about right
might take the ram back out and take it with me to Fast fluids and see if Marty has any better suggestions/alternate fittings, or even see how he is at making up some steels, but they'd need to be small.
did discover that one of the pins is missing a locking tab ... @Tintan28 - might be worth you checking yours out for missing tabs ... this un's never had one fitted .. better safe than sorry .. one of the shell pivots ... have it drop out and it'll twist the whole thing .... got a tab to make .. fortunately it's an easy one .. there's one in there holding the ram body that's a work of art to extract and will only come out with the shell disconnected and in a certain position .. was bit of a head scratcher

but ...... after much fiddling, juggling and fannying about it is in there

Looks very close but would the banjo fittings not screw into the ram ports with a lock nut and douwty washer to seal it then put check valve in-between with douwty washers and the hollow bolts ?
That would move the check valve around and more room for the hose ports
