Is that not the oil level sight glass?

It does look rather high if it is but It should have a sight glass for the oil level somewhere.View attachment 20004
Sadly not @Charlie .... that's a window to see the oil flow ..... there's a little capillary tube sprays oil on the glass to show oil flow is functional
charlie .jpg

if the oil level was up there it'd be way too deep a level .... gears'd be plowing through EP100 all the time .... all the relevant bits get pressure fed from that oil manifold at the back, that feeds the capillary

Any help mate?

cheers @Charlie ... not had a chance for a look yet ....

been pratting about all day with new 'puter, old 'puter, bloody wiring and creating enough room to have both side by side to be able to talk to each other. Now I need to suss HTF to synch 'em ... thought I had an idea, having synched two search engines the other day ... but still struggling ... on old faithful ATM ... can't recall me password to sign in here on the new one

SO just remembered it and on t'other one now ..... with Squeak stretched out in front of the second keyboard .. very helpful !! Awesome screen @Cyberprog ... the boy did a great job of pointing me in the right direction ........ 's gonna take me months to find my way around this though :( and even longer to load all I want / need

Power went off on me this morning (been off 7 times today) so decided it was time to pull it all apart and get it sorted, including the UPS I've not dared to knock off old faithful to install since it arrived  .... Alex is gonna get a few phone calls over the next few days / weeks even .

Pam's in a state ATM .... bent over the edge of her compost box/pot storage the other day to get a bucket and lost her footing or leaned too far, one of the two and think she's either cracked or broken a rib ... in a right old knot ... can barley move and in serious pain .... any other time I'd have had her into A&E and X rayed by now .... BUT!! they've closed the Radiography dept. in the local one in town and no way are we going to Pontypool for one - CV19 central distribution, round here !! Not a lot they can do for it anyway ... other than a decent supply of pain killers ... she's getting through mine rapid :oops: see how she is Monday, or we may have to risk the GP's:unsure:o_O

do they still do that? …. she's in a bit of a knot ATM ….. it'll be the bottom floater, I'd have thought

as for the new 'thing' …….. I have no idea how or where to look for stuff ….. please tell me this is configurable to look like XP ….. and how???

I dunno, I thought they strapped them to keep em in place in the hope they would knit. Don't know any ex-GP's do you?

You can configure it to do so, but a lot of those apps are no longer being developed. Best to just get stuck in, I can help with customising on a screen share if your net is up to it.

When my mate fell off his roof and broke several ribs along with internal damage. Painkillers and home a few days later!! All enjoyed making him laugh.....as boy it made him cry!!
Be gentle with her and help around the house. Pam might need a hand getting the Turkey out of the oven.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!!

Why's radiography closed local to you? Let me guess...
'cos they've been winding the hospital down for a long time Jim .. A&E is down to minor injuries only .. a new one has opened about 15 miles away and there was one opened about 2 years ago up the valleys, again about 15 miles away …. Abergavenny is very central in the area and one of the highest populations in the county …. but the hospital is early 60s and falling apart …….. and yes you guessed it … has been a bit of a hub for covid treatment.

was going to make a start on getting it sorted this morning .. Pam out at the hair dressers for a couple of hours, but the rain of the last couple of days'd shown up a leak in a box, so that took priority for an hour or so … finding it, drying it off and heat gunning it for some Flash band, for now. … just about got that sorted and damn me she's back  .. tempus fugit, when you're having fun !! So got collared for me hamster juice ….. thought we were gonna do it this evening, but jus' enough time before the school run:rolleyes: ……. so that all put paid to the rest of my day

Did manage to get a top coat on the splash guard Saturday, between the various showers - dries real quick

Yep, those ultrasharp screens are nice.

Install the latest Firefox or Chrome (pick ya poison) on both machines. Sigh up for Firefox sync or sign into/create a Google account respectively on the old machine. Sync it with the cloud, then sign into your new computer and it'll pull down all your bookmarks and saved passwords.

Did you buy that copy of office I suggested?

you're a star …… Added firefox to old faithful a few weeks ago and that synched great with Chrome on that ….. so if I add FF and Chrome to this one I should be able to synch both browsers?? ….. prefer Chrome TBH …. 's what I've used for years
and no … forgot about the office suggestion ….. gonna need summat ….. can't open any of my word docs off my stand-alone/backup HDs … or saved email files
PC was a great recommendation though Alex …(y)
just going to be a sloooow learning curve !! Been on XP for 20+ years and know it backwards ('least as far as my use/knowledge goes) :giggle:

Yes, you can use both. I have 4 browsers on my work laptop!
Firefox is my day to day.
Chrome for YouTube (music and stuff while I work)
Edge for O365/Teams admin stuff .
IE for our app layering system that uses silverlight and doesn't run on any other browser!

Should sort office for a year. Can't find any cheaper ATM.
