what is it about CaerrrrrrdiffI remember going to Cardiff circa 2008 with hilux and ifor Williams flatbed trailer and towing home a Harrison 460 lathe. Got loaded up and set off, all was well until we hit the motorway and got up to speed and immediately got into a tank slapper and only just managed to keep from over turning in the middle of the road. Had to stick to 50 mph all the way to speysidegot the truck now and she never gets over loaded

John sutch city crane, but couldn’t see how the steering wheel had a mechanical linkage to the base unit![]()
Are but wheeled excavators and dumpers only do 18 mph or should do so hydrostatic will do, but these cranes travel on motorways so surly they should have a mechanical steering linkageI have vague recollections that Locatelli do one tooor may be a crane with a fork head ... can't remember
Think the City cranes are all hydraulic steering ... they'm plant, not road vehicle, so don't need a mechanical linkage .... like Jakes, dumpers, etc.
know what you're saying Mog, but still plant .... and TBH .... would take some doingAre but wheeled excavators and dumpers only do 18 mph or should do so hydrostatic will do, but these cranes travel on motorways so surly they should have a mechanical steering linkage![]()
