Loctite. Forget the grade but there's one for fitting bearing inner races to damaged shafts, takes up a stupid amount of slop and will hold it tight too- wouldn't even need to weld.You might possibly want a new fan if your fan splines are missing as I'm not sure how loctite would bond to the plastic, they are around £8 on ebay.

Loctite Hysol 3421, Devcon, Belzona, JB weld, ... any of the 'plastic metals' ... no chance of getting the pulley off again in one piece
Not quite what I was thinking, this is a product for worn shafts (no sniggering at the back). It will come off with suitable heat.

I bought a replacement deck complete from Monow Mowers it has 3 times the metal thickness of the original deck, always been great to speak to and ask, have to keep the whole machine clean and in the dry once you’ve used it,
as the originals were 1.6mm it must be quite some deck ... any pix ... what did it cost and when?
It’s really well made V8 Druid, so so heavy it wasn’t cheap around £ 800, cut my paddock last week, first time for 5 months so long long grass raised the grass collector and left the cut stuff down, ran it full speed but drove slowly, even surprised myself, slightly wet grass hosed the deck clean no problems, get a dry day and do it again, pity they don’t come with a suitable Budweiser holder, I’ve had this deck 2 years, taken it off once to really clean it, which is a good idea unless you can get it up really high,
sounds awesome .... I take my deck off several times through the season and thoroughly clean it -- it's a mulcher with the insert, so does trap tish everywhere... ours is in need of 'the chop' but the ground is just too wet to think about it - not stopped growing all winter
and is far too much for a first cut with the Countax .. will almost certainly put the Dane round it first, as that takes no prisoners and collect it up with the Countax...... then see where I'm at ... gonna have to dry some yet though
Sounds like what was known as the High Grass Mulching deck that was usually only available for the larger A Series tractors. If memory serves me right was not a direct swap onto the usual domestic C or K series machines - but it was a while back !
