I don't think it's like that, I think the original cylinders have been replaced with new cylinders and they are not the same orientation as the originals. I don't think there's enough space for the ports to turn them 180 degree. Yes it's going to be a pain to sort this out but having them stick up past the floor like this is going to be an even bigger pain. Especially if they get damaged when on a job. We have an audit from BBA next week for en 1090 certificate then once this is past will have a go at sorting it out.

agreed .. but anything flat is usually on bearers though anyway ...... not often you'd put a load totally flat on a bed ....... and less hassle than ripped off banjos on siteno good if you want to lay something flat on the body though

The original hole orientation on those is the same as Mike’s, just like most off the shelf cylinders are. If Mike’s were mounted like that, then it would be real easy fix, or as you would say “a pop”......interesting the cylinders are on extensions and the hole orientation is 90 to what Mike's are

yes agreed, but rotated by 90 deg.s by virtue of the extensions to the cylinder bases ... Mike's current cylinders look longer than the originals

Another full stretch yesterday erecting some decking.
It's one of those things where almost every time we use this crane we are using the full reach envelope. The first few we looked at had two 2 extensions, this one has 4, imagine how much of a disadvantage that would've been.

Yes I find my crane won’t reach far enough or indeed lift enough
but to be fair it reaches 14.5 meters and will lift 2.5 tonnes out there so should be great full

Absolutely, our telehandler can reach 12.5m but can only lift about 200kg at full reach, the crane can reach 12.5m and lift 2,200kg at full reach makes a big difference.Yes I find my crane won’t reach far enough or indeed lift enough

the trouble is wagons become addictive, what starts out as a 7.5 soon turns into a 7.5 a 12 ton, 2 units and 10 trailers

Fellow turned up today who runs a reclamation yard with stone for some new openings on a job we are on - I was asked by the client to help sort it out because access is complicated and we are going to put them close with a digger.
Got talking to the guy a little bit as we were unloading......... he bought the wagon new in 1982 when he was 44 years old (you do the maths)and it is still his daily wagon, his helper stayed on the wagon and he and I laid the quions out !
He said he was pretty lucky as neither the wagon or his body had been much trouble and they would retire together
Fairly impressive on both counts
