Ohhh…..my 10 isolation period ha started again as now the young one has tested positive. I seem to remember that at the start of all this, my young one was the reason that I was voted most likely to get it!!! I must be close know!!!
The wife has decided it will be easier for my to go to the little room to isolate so the two COVID infected people can have the run of the house!!

Pam still barking like a dog, 12+ days on .... has tested herself 3 times ... all neg. ........ very pleased to say that my system has repelled all boarders thus far ... she has got to be beyond contagious by now .... dunno WTF she has but it's certainly floored her

We still can get good old coughs, colds, chest infections and various other ailments that would previously had you visiting your local GP. I negative test is good news as far as Covid goes. Gra, wife was telling me her bro in law is on some fancy cocktail each month sounds a bit like yours, not sure excat condition but some kind of immuosuppressed but docs have told him that before long his cocktail will have covid antibodies in it. Covid is now getting so widespread that the donors of the blood or whatever it is will have antibodies...in effect a vaccine! so he'll likely end up with antibodies anyhow without catching it. odd eh.did a huge amount of research on it @Giles ....
there is not a lot anywhere about Gaucher's as it is so rare and read all i could - also joined the Gaucher's association - they approached me - who have as vast as possible database on the disease ...
my 'hamster juice' isn't a drug, per se, but an enzyme that my body isn't able to produce, beta-glucosidase, as my chromosomes are missing the gene responsible for its production.
As for "FB study"
you have to go to medical journals and data bases to find any real info. on it.

No i didn't just accept it blindly ... I was very gen.-ed up on it when I went to see the top man in the country on Gaucher's in The Royal Free in Hampstead, London, Professor Atul Mehtta (for a second opinion).
I'd had months to study it, between the initial tentative diagnosis, getting fully tested and progressing on from there, with the consultants in the LSDU in the heath in Cardiff ....
took me 13 mths fight to get the treatment funded. It was the only treatment for it then and without it it's terminal, eventually. (Even had lengthy correspondence with Genzyme, in Cambridge, Mass., USA who make the Cerezyme I am treated with)
There has been a.n.other developed since, which I tried end of '19, early 20, but was taken off it, when I ended up in hospital in Feb. '20 with pancreatitis again ..
personally I'm sure that wasn't the issue, but as a precaution was put back on the established regime that had been working fine for 8 years (with the odd tweak) and am happy to stick with what works.
so no .. I was fully informed about what I was doing
As for your 'smack head' .... it speaks volumes of his (and other's) mentality when they will blindly buy any old sh1t from complete strangers and shove it into their bodies, without a second thought ..... amazes me that there isn't a pandemic of drug induced deaths ... might as well put a gun to their heads with one chamber loaded

sadly mine is an artificially manufactured/cultured treatment .... so no chance of that.
a replacement enzyme, grown on hamster ovary stem cells - hence the 'hamster juice' tag for it - that my body can't manufacture itself, due to a missing gene .....
yes I am immunosuppressed to a degree, but could be a lot worse (on all sorts of fronts - some Gaucher's sufferers are a LOT worse than me, but they still haven't figured out HTF my body managed 'til early fifties to cope with it ???? )

My first diagnosis was a thing called Myelofibrosis .. terminal - 6-12 mths ... identical presentations to Gaucher's disease, but with one single genetic marker difference, but what a difference that single marker makes to the end result .... Myelofibrosis is a horrendous end

I still reckon that once the antibody level hits a certain point we just crack on...although maybe shove a rocket up the NHS arse.
