A big fat zero must be a body blow for the media who were hoping for a sensational massive increase following the Bank Holiday. If its a couple of dozen tomorrow it's still 24 x 0 🤣

👍Exactly..was surprised they even reported it...they seem incapable of reporting positive stuff.
It was a very small article with lots of caveats that it was probably really down to bad reporting.

I understand there was a very large peaceful March in London this weekend against vaccine passports. Unconfirmed but the rumour is a in excess of 1million people. That didn’t make the papers.

Saw this on several news sources today:

FACE masks and social distancing measures should continue “forever”, a senior scientist on the Sage committee that advises the Government has said.

Prof Susan Michie yesterday suggested the measures introduced to tackle the coronavirus pandemic should be retained to help suppress other viruses and boost public health.

“We will need to keep this going in the long term and that will be good not only for Covid, but also to reduce others diseases at a time when the NHS is ...”

Interrupted by a follow-up question about how long she thought the measures should continue, the professor of health psychology said: “I think forever, to some extent.”

Later asked whether she thought the proposal was realistic, she said: “I think there’s lots of different behaviours we’ve changed in our lives.

“We now routinely wear seat belts, we didn’t use to.” She suggested that in future, people would check they had a face mask with them when they left the house in the same way they made an effort to remember their phone and keys.

“It’s not going to be a huge big deal, the kind of changes we’re talking about,” she said.

I strongly object to this. I have gone along with masks in a half hearted way as it is currently law, but it is getting less and less. Big shops are still enforcing it, but most of the smaller places I go are not wearing masks any more and lots of my customers have stopped masking up some time ago. I don’t want a society where people are afraid of human contact. What sort of world have we got to look forward to?

And it looks like the 21st June “it is all over” restrictions are going to be booted down the street.
Roll up, roll up, get your vaccine here!! Make sure all the population is vaccinated!! 40000 at Wembley but 30 at a wedding.🤔🤔🤔

Someone has lost the plot.

I'm so glad I've never wore a mask and resisted from the start (bar a small handful of times to keep peace, funeral etc). I think everyone has been too compliant with having their rights taken away. Never had a test and never had a jab. I tell every shop person who asks me for a mask im exempt in the bluntest possible way.

Just looking at G7 on the news. Not wearing mask, much closer than two meters, just flown in from all over the world with no quarantine, many in high risk groups. Either the police should be intervening or we should be allowed to get on with normal life.

The (emmits) public were practically crawling over each other when leaving

BBC news:
The Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Modelling (SPI-M) said a third wave could range from "considerably smaller than January 2021 to considerably higher".

So...🥸🤣🤣🤣🤣 Just guess then?

I'm not sure how keeping the current restrictions in place is going to slow down the spread of what's now being called the "delta" variant? If its spreading with things as they are, how is keeping it that way going to slow it down?......
And masks forever I predicted last year when they became compulsory. Hate the things and actively avoid going places you have to wear them. Its a shame to not go to the cinema etc but in a way I don't really miss it either.

My thoughts exactly ...surprise surprise usual areas are highest rates again round here....guess which "ethnic group" won't have the jab and live in each others houses ...
Masks...same here I avoid anywhere unless fixed like fuel station on mway . Apart from that it's online all the way...time a few shops just quietly didn't police it...and looked the other way ..otherwise they ain't gonna have any customers...kinda wonder if at some point those that cling onto covid and use it as an excuse for crap service need to wake up.
