Don't complain - suggest what's better
Look at this and tell me you're not frightened. Sleepwalking into a dystopian nightmare. I think active rebellion to the restrictions becomes the only way to fight back at some point. The more you comply the more s**t they think they can get away with. Totally understand why the yanks don't give up their guns now.
Where will it stop? No job and if cash is done away with full control of your spending. You will comply or you will starve.
I used to think most governments we had were wasteful of other peoples money and pretty useless at organising anything, but on the whole benign. I'm now starting to worry that they have scared the general population so much they can get away with almost anything to "Save the NHS" or "For my own good". I'm too old and comfortable to risk losing it all by open rebellion, but I'll do my best to subvert it. I just hope I don't live to see the day of the Great Reset and the dystopian future we seem to be heading for, but I worry I will.
There was some celebrety chef in the paper yesterday saying we should use some of the same methods we have deployed against covid to force healthy eating and weight loss on the population. If he wants to eat what he considers healthy and be the weight he considers right then good on him, but maybe he should consider persuading me with his arguements if they are that unassailable rather than forcing me to comply.

Milled some 6x6 oak posts. Then the rest is softwood. Not done a "bar" yet but getting there.
Had the stove running the other night 😎

Love it - gonna have to call in and inspect it when we go on our Grand Tour :ROFLMAO:
Here's a photo taken in January of my log burner in my man cave....

.......look carefully and you'll see that there's snow outside.
SWMBO would never allow me to build a bar unless I kept it secret

Superb (y) Love yer stove. Sawdust burner?
Gonna convert mine next winter to burn waste oil :devilish:
Those Bisley cabinets remind me on the 1970s when I was in the Police - we had hundreds of them in each Station for the bloody paperwork 🤣
You've even got a washing machine for yer dirty overalls 😇

Like the quote at the end ".....those who don't get vaccinated are moved on"
I actually agree with this policy for all employees in responsible customer facing jobs.
It's the responsible thing to do ;)
2 local scenarios here:
1. Terry my elderly neighbour, has his wife in a local cared home. They lurch from crisis to crisis. They often totally fcuk up Zoom calls between them. And he is still unable to visit because they haven't yet sorted out a nominated visitor room/area. Found out last week that the damage of this care home is refusing to have the vaccination - WTF is going on here
2. Heidi - my friends wife, works for Border Force at a busy international sea port. Last December she was infected with Covid-19 after she ws exposed to a minger of an illegal migrant who was deported. The deportee was found to be positive afterwards. During where hands on she became infected and unknowing took it home to her young daughter at home. Heidi is still suffering badly with Long Covid. So yes I agree that we must ensure that all of our Border Force Staff are vaccinated

But getting the vaccine doesn't the spread so it doesn't stop it.
The only person the vaccine will help is the individual.
Government are just seeing how far they can push and it's things like this that actually make the Americans opinion on freedom actually look more important than they ever have before.

It's all very brainwashing and controlling

I remember that Carlton mid advert when it came out over there. Early 2000s. Have to disagree with the forced/coerced vax @Routy56 but it's cool we can all have different opinions. Man caves might be the future. I know a few having them built. I did one of those dunster house interlocking log cabins last year. Just as all this s**t was kicking off. Was meant to be a pottery studio for this blokes missus but he text me a month or so later telling me it's now his home office as was all work from home.

No job on frontline borderforce in NZ for me then.
I have become alarmed at the number of my friends that think I am being selfish not having a vaccine. I have told them vaccine protects the them not me. Next time I have a headache see if it goes away if they take the nurofen for me. We have a population believing that this vaccine will see the NHS saved. What they are not understanding is why the flu vac is changed each year. We are falling into a path of this becoming an annual vaccine operation for everyone.

I'm no expert on vaccination by any means but my understanding is this vaccine is not a cure it just lessens the severity of symptoms to C19 and gives your immune system a head start on fighting the virus infection. This means you recover from it alot quicker and have less long term effect and likely not to need hospital treatment. But it also reduces your infectious period so you are less likely to spread it to others. It's this part that helps for everyone around you. Some people can't get the vaccine for medical reasons and it's those who are vulnerable and anything that can help those in my view is worth it.
