I missed first few mins was trying to do dogs anal glans. Dissapointed to hear no ums or alas' but he was obviously reading from teleprompter

It's been a bit strange tbh even prior to tier 4. It's been mega busy up until early December when the Christmas restrictions were announced (cos they never changed) and it went really quiet. I was back up at job above Ashness Bridge from mid dec until new year. Up until Christmas other than people who live up there I'd only see a dozen folk a day go past. Between Christmas and New year a few more about but nowhere near what i was expecting. One thing i have noticed is that when there's tighter restrictions it seems people don't go to the well known popular areas but seem to spread out more.Cheers for that...never thought of that
Any quieter up there mate in tier 4 ?

Last full lock down, working on back lanes on hire to the LA, where we normally only see an odd car a day, we where having to move for cars all day long, as if people where traveling the lanes to keep out of sight on the main roads.
As you say about the well know spots, we where finding passing places and laybys with cars parked in them, where there is never normal any.

Sactly...we have shite 12mb at best broadband ..
2 kids plus parents ...never going to happen just thankfull I can escape to work..
But love how it's the left and unions that are clamouring fir schools to shut...in Lancs the rates been steady for weeks now give it take...
Who is going to pick up the tab in years to come for: mental health, cancer rates through missed scans and treatment , kids education standards, furlough bill, generally fkked scared whitless sheeple in general who are now scared their shadow will infect them... ??

I feel I should stick up for at least some of the teachers as my wife is one
No teachers where furloughed they where all online teaching
What online teaching involves carts from school to school from doing virtual lessons to setting activities to keep kids entertained
But I am reliably informed that online teaching was far more effort than teaching in person

No there wasn't many locals i don't think other than those who live further up. I was very surprised all round tbh though the whole time i was working up there it was never as busy as i expected. Having said that i think the people who were coming were keener walkers so were getting further from civilisation.

from 1.4 to 1.8mb to 4 to 4.2mb over the last few months since August .... had engineer #13 round before crimbo ..... for all the use he was
most of 'em TBF have contributed their little bit to the improvement .... now if they'll just replace one particular run of cable I'll be well happy

I did put up some defence!! No teachers in public funded schools where furloughed as they where excluded from the scheme!! Not the same in private schools much to the irritation of fee paying parents!!
The provision across schools varied greatly. And the uptake depends on the parent and child. I am not criticising the teachers. But the unions and upper leaders have a lot to answer for.

aye ..... had me letter today -- dated 22-12-2020 - - post marked yesterday- -
bit ****ing late ...... heads down 'til mid Feb. .... like that'll make a lot of difference ... or is it scheduled to be over by then I realise i am in a very lucky position and able to 'shield' to whatever level I choose, but FFS ... make up their 'kin minds and stick to a regime.Josh's wife (primary head) has spent several days and all day today planning how they're going to deal with this weeks planned re-opening strategy, to be told this evening to bin it all and work out how they're gonna 'deal' with the now required 'childcare' and feeding those that qualify ..
I also realise that this is a very fluid situation and do not envy anyone trying to 'steer the ship' in savage waters .... but they must've had more than an inkling that this was 'going down', well before this evening.
