I think most of those constitute underlying issues Smiffy ..... Redbull's effects on the body are massive and should not be under-estimated as are most of the others listed :(

I only mentioned it as I saw one of the newspaper articles saying about another person dying with no underlying health issues but the photos show him being overweight and it made me think as to how many people that are considered fit and healthy on the surface actually arnt due to lifestyle choices rather than medical conditions
Forgot to mention excessive alcohol consumption is listed on the NHS pneumonia page as a problem and weakens the lungs but there are dozens of articles of the beer and wine sections in supermarkets being cleared out so obviously quite a few have every intention to drink there way through the problem

We all got the chance of getting diabetes tested the other year at work, one of the lads who f’in lived of that stuff was a bit unsure whether he should get tested or not, told him he had nothing to lose and would give him the heads up if something was wrong.....his piss was more or less concentrated energy drink!! The doctors had seen nothing like it before. You can see why they’ve been band in some country’s.

read an article about so called energy drinks some time ago ..... and what they do to your kidneys and liver is NOT good ..... aside from the rest of your body
trouble is these days there is so much s**t in everything, it's hard to avoid ... aspartame is a classic example

It is the law of unintended consequences causing a lot of it. Government is pressuring food/drink companies to cut down on salt, sugar, saturated fats etc, which on the face of it is a good idea, but to try and get the same taste/texture they are having to add all sorts of s**t that should never be in our food. I would rather have the real thing and know it is high in sugar or whatever rather than have a list of ingredients I don’t understand and have no idea what effect they will have on me.

The irony of red bull and other energy drinks companies is that they sponsor the bulk of sport worldwide and yet no sportsman or women would drink any of it.

Don’t start me on consequences!!!
Around 2009 I started suffering terrible joint problems. I had a series of X Rays and scans that the medical profession said I would need knee replacement surgery within 12 months. When I walked down the stairs in the morning it was my knees creaking not the stairs! I cycled a lot and loved my skiing. After coming home from what was my second ski trip inside 3 weeks in Feb of 2010 I could hardly walk without being in pain. I started a major dietary change and went Paelo. Cave man diet. If you couldn’t catch it, kill it or pick it you didn’t eat it! So bread and all processed food went out the window. Within 4 weeks I had dropped from 105 to 95 kg. And my joint pain disappeared. I was suffering very high blood pressure and that also dropped significantly. I am still 95kgs and on the same knee caps that where only going to last another 12 months. The medical profession look to medicine for cures not dietary change. As “humans” we are rather alien on this planet as we are the only species that wants cook and process its diet. Is that due to the evolution process? Or are we aliens?

Yeh read a lot about that, Diet Coke is one of the biggest culprits for that, listened to a podcast about it and it was frightening what was said about it, basically saying they’d rather people drink the full fat stuff rather than the diet one because of all the s**t in it and what it can do to you.

Another thing Covid 19 made very clear - there’s no limit to the virtue signalling crap that people will spout to try to remain relevant.

a pal at a JCB dealer in service has been furloughed until May 31... A friend at CBL in sale until futher notice, they do not anticipate to go back to go back to visiting customers for sales calls until Sept onward

This will be a very deep recession imo, This timed with Brexit is a disaster. There is no money moving around in business now, was talking to a sub contract fitter today who runs 4 lads, very worried as they are owed big digits and cant get anybody to pay the little guys... The only good thing is the sites are closed but there not shut as such, they just need to be allowed back to work. I hope things are not mothballed

friend of mine thought she was losing the plot a few years ago .. and she was, sort of, then I read a.n.other article about aspartame and asked her if she drank diet coke ... "yes quite a bit" ... told her to stop it and any other 'diet' s**t ... was right as rain within a week :rolleyes::unsure:(y)(y)

because they're all operating with the money they owe the little guys ..... they have no funds of their own ... none of the ****ers do!!
All these big outfits should be made to have/access to, operating capital equal to project values .. without it they don't get the work .... simples ... would see a lot of the Kiers, Interserves, Costains vanish
