Me and à few mates from here can go if that helps 🤪
If they won’t play ball in any way there might be a free chalet you are welcome to use - I’d rather someone benefited from it than pay them for it to sit empty!!!

Can you not claim the money back if paid on the card due to "failure to supply"?

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
We would normally be off skiing in Austria in January. We where out there in Jan last year when all the Covid stuff was first becoming news out of China. We had a trip booked to Majorca in May last year which was quite a battle getting the flight money back.
Having learnt that lesson we where very reluctant to book anything for this ski season. We are (hopefully) off to Ski Club on Monday at our local dry slope. They are having a revival this year. Just be nice if it snows!!
Germany just declared no brits from Monday, on the box that my one ear is listening to  .... can't imagine 'em putting out the welcome flags in Austria either

There's a ski slope in Aldershot Shaun and I have contemplated it but I don't think its quite going to cut it compared to Verbs babe 😆

I got it😣

So, we where meant to have a christening for Danny on Wednesday night, a nice little family gathering just before Christmas. Because neither Emma or I have the jabs we had the to do lateral flow tests...... no problem we can do that!

So Tuesday night Emma called me and told me hers was positive and to come straight home etc.... I did one but mine was negative. Booked in for pcr in the morning and Emma and I were positive Ruby was negative.

Can't say we have been hit hard, thankfully, more like a hangover but I have had zero energy this past 2 days...... not aloud out to Christmas day so don't be expecting any pressies

It was paid by bacs. To add complication it’s actually a British owned chalet owned by a family member (who has turned out to be a complete bellend)….
This simplyfies things alot..... Hopefully you have there home address for the plant talk January meetup. We can all tow wobble boxes now thanks to the law change and I bet they have a suitable lawn to camp on?

R.e ze Europeans, I'd bet every random move made is out of spite...... It's a shame we don't return the favour imho.

Hopefully ‘nothing more than a cold’! Speedy recovery and some time to sort a few jobs at home.

if any part of that bacs transfer was from an overdraught then your covered and can reclaim the whole lot from the bank.

Same with part payment, if you put a min of £100 on a credit card then transfer the rest by BACS the credit card is on the hook for the whole amount.

I didn’t know that. Still not applicable here sadly, but good to know, thanks.

Yes..... I'm all in favour of mutual benefits.... but if they want Mutually assured destruction perhaps we should give it to them?
As a follow up to it..... here's my take.

2009 - https://www.theguardian.com/world/2009/apr/16/french-fisherman-end-channel-blockade
2015 - https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...orkers-block-calais-port-route-with-huge-fire

The French have a history of blocking the ports and saying "f**k the english" long before the time of Brexit.

Since Brexit we have had....

Personally if you want to be playing Laws, Ethics and Policy telling a country that you will pull the plug on there electric because your not getting your way is the stampy feet equivalent of "This is my ball and i'm taking it with me" As we know the French national hobby is civil disobedience....

If they want to play games then perhaps we should too.

" The news coming from South Africa that the health authorities there have decided to stop tracing +quarantining cases due to the *weakness* of the new variant, raises even more questions about the reasoning of SAGE, Gove, Javid to keep pushing for endless lockdowns "

one word ......
CONTROL!

As I've said previously I used to like watching the news but I'm glad I gave it up over 3 and half years ago.
