Yes they are lying the gov have not got a clue how many people are in the country so they dont know how many people have not had vaccine..Supermarkets think by the amount of food sold there is up to 20 million extra to gov numbers or a lot of food is wasted or is this what passport passes is about

Tried to find where I read the other week about up to 20 million extra mouths or a lot of food is wasted but does not come up must have been in one of the papers I read or I would have put it up here

But realistically the damage is already done to the hospitality sector who usually have a good run up to Christmas to last them through the quiet January period. We’re booked to go skiing in the alps the first week of Jan. France now won’t let us in, looks like we are going to lose our money on the chalet (should be able to get money back or defer flights, transfers etc but the accommodation is going to leave an £8k hole in the group’s finances).

We would normally be off skiing in Austria in January. We where out there in Jan last year when all the Covid stuff was first becoming news out of China. We had a trip booked to Majorca in May last year which was quite a battle getting the flight money back.
Having learnt that lesson we where very reluctant to book anything for this ski season. We are (hopefully) off to Ski Club on Monday at our local dry slope. They are having a revival this year. Just be nice if it snows!!
