How do you guys that run the dewalt 54v flexivault rate them? Considering moving towards them, it’s just a huge jump! I want a nee circular saw and sds, have both in 18v but they do struggle, and eat batteries!

Good but appears to loose charge quickly on 9ah when not in use ...compressor eats batteries but is so handy. . I'm red normally but DeWalt had compressor and mixer out first . 9in cutoff saw is my fave tool at 85mm cut it's surprisingly good for a 9in. Considering ts410 12in only 100mm

Been debating buying a cordless cut off saw, I am leaning towards the Milwaukee one just because of the one key and being able to lock it off but I only have 3 x 5ah 18v batteries whereas I already have 2 X 6ah and 2 X 9ah batteries although those figures are the 18v so a third at 54v

Deffo want biggest batts you can on it.
But love it. With slitting disc not much stops it. Be blummin pikeys dream

Thing is petrol has way more power and when its flat it's only jerry can to tip up and you're away again

You will have to keep petrol if you ever want to cut concrete slabs or tarmac.
The run time on continuous cutting full depth is terrible.
The council had the big Milwaukee kit on demo the 350mm cut saw and the breaker.
Two batteries wouldn't even last the council half a day let alone anyone trying to do some work. It's simply not what they designed for.

The council had the big Milwaukee kit on demo the 350mm cut saw and the breaker.
Two batteries wouldn't even last the council half a day let alone anyone trying to do some work. It's simply not what they designed for.

To be fair so is a beaver pack and gun or a neuson 2 stroke breaker
But the cut of saw is over 2k with a pair of batteries and a ts420 is £650 if you need a 14in grinder and a 410 less than that

On the paving group a few have gone electric and binned the 2 stroke, depends what sort cutting you do, odds and sods electric, big cuts 2 stroke

A right variety to be fair but when I need it I need it so I’ll stick with my petrol one , trucks not big enough for 2 saws

The 9in ones are only little really and you know you want to

I was looking at a de Walt (that’s what I run) cut off saw 12” but they don’t do one now have I read this right there 9” cut off saw will do 85mm

Yes the cut isn't far off the ts410

Sactly ..but agree any big cuts it's petrol but for quick stuff it's damn handy..
Have done duct trench across tarmac drive but it's a faff.

I don’t do civils stuff but was thinking top and tailing copper alli rads (do quite a few old air con units) and the odd cable on site (have a proper shear in the yard) plus not bought anything for a week

I like the Stihl cordless stuff best for the bigger kit..... just my opinion
