Looks ace - good work!
I was really interested in one of those -at Plantworks in the torrential rain I went to their stand twice, spoke to their staff, was told to hang on while the relevant person was found, nobody even came back to me on either occasion (whilst I hung around like an idiot getting soaked both times). They had taken all of my details etc etc. I was literally there to buy a digger!
I agreed a deal on the Bobcat on the phone on the bus on the way home... (Nobody from Yanmar has ever been in touch with me since).
Your digger is hopefully brilliant, and ideally you have a better dealer than whichever muppet they were attempting to send my way!

It's absolutely mental, have spoke to a few dealers for new machines, two gave prices on phone and haven't sent any confirmed quotes in writing one didn't even bother to send through the specs on pdf. Plenty of others just haven't replied only jcb and yanmar have made any effort and prices have been decent. Kubota dealer gave prices but wasn't great and not really interested.
Used sellers I've contacted are just as bad

New toy arrived today finally. Will go back to have hydraulic thumb fitting when it comes in stock
Nice machine, good spec as standard at reasonable price IMO. I’m sure it won’t disappoint. What thumb are you getting to go with it?

Harford thumb.
Had a wacker on order for weeks from Caultrac one minute told it was on lorry then next they where unable to get me the machine. Big supply issues or lies somewhere.

really happy with the yanmar package we got from Ben burgess

I’ve found harford very helpful since talking to the managing director at plantworx and telling him of issues I’d had having had to purchase through a dealer who then add a pile of cash to the price for doing sod all.I’ve since been supplied direct and their products are very good.not heard much about the yanmars from burgess Even though I’m an agricultural customer of theirs.don’t know what happened with hitachi but it’s not good if you had one and then had to go elsewhere for parts and service.I got offered a demo of a 1.7 ton hitachi by them probably 9 years ago now and a2.5 ton machine 4 years ago and never heard another word from them.woukd have to say the Volvo dealer in Norwich gave me a price within a couple of days of asking but like most there is absolutly no stock, till 2022 for a new ecr25d anyway.i really can’t understand why dealers don’t get back to customers.

An elephant never forgets. Dealers might be fine now not getting back to folk, but once this bubbles bursts it’ll be the ones that made an effort that people will remember. I’ve been phoning around quite a bit recently for various bits of kit and most dealers down here in Devon have been pretty good to be fair to them- even if they have no stock/long wait.

Nothing overly exciting. Kind of looking at a tractor and multi purpose dump trailer setup to work alongside my 5 tonner. But the price of tractors at the moment is mental and not much choice, so might have to revert to the dumper idea,

I Have the kx027-4 and after having had or used most other machines in its weight bracket it is the best one by far!
Powerful and stable and with the twin aux it ticks all the boxes
Also the cab is very spacious even for a 20stone man

Nice! Don’t see them very often, hydraulic grapple. How much was it? I really rate Strickland buckets.

What do you run on the twin aux on the kubota?

I got it from an auction couple of yrs ago for less than the materials would cost to make it and it is a real good bit of kit
rotating grab and use the adjustable flow of the 2nd aux for my screening bucket rather than having to do it on Revs like with other machines

Yeah, I use the flow adjust on my machines more than I thought I would, the lock switch is handy too for running a flail or a handheld post knocker off the aux.

Back to this thread again. I'm still on the look out to replace my TB125. I've had it 5 years 2500hrs and not a single thing gone wrong except a new set of tracks. But it is not compatible with the grab I want to get and therefore will either be relegated to 'rough work only machine' or ideally replaced. Im finding it extremely difficult to come up with something to replace it with. It absolutely has to be full rear end counterweight- I push it to it's max on tricky terrain and handling boulders so I know that zero or compact isn't what I want.
Rory and @Hg2702 have both warned me off Kubota from their experiences although haven't tried myself.
I wanted to buy new (bobcat never got back to me and are miles away anyway) so forget them, Jcb is probably the only one ticking the boxes at the mo. Only trouble is Im not into the looks of it at all😂
Latest thoughts is a very low houred Volvo EC27C I know of for sale which could be a contender... Any one had much seat time in one?

This is a daily scenario for the Tak and the last one I had lasted 5000 hrs before the slew ring was shot so dont know how long current one will go on for.

Why won't the grab fit ??
Guessing rotate circuit etc.

My E27 has been an absolutely fantastic carrier for the grab, and I do a lot of grab work as you know. There is a shipment of E27 with twin aux and extra counterweight due in August apparently.

I told them the price they quoted of £36k (what did they quote you?) was stupid, and they came back with £33k. Lots of profiteering going on currently
