Better add my opinion of the Volvo ec27d, Plastic panels are tougher than you would think, although my occasional operator has managed to put a small crack in one, some people can damage anything, and i think its no harder to repair than knocking out and repainting a steel panel.
Volvo spec sheet says 2655 kg transport weigh + 12 kg for long dipper option, + 100 kg for additional counterweight which may or may not be needed, i have it with additional weight of tiltrotator at the other end its well balanced. (200mm wide track option saves 75kg according to spec sheet ?)
1.1 engine ? it does seem to work hard sometimes, maybe in a ideal world it would have the larger Engine that bobcat runs but wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.
Has a slightly larger pump output than the ecr25d Volvo and considerably better lifting abilities, although it looks very similar it a very different machine i find.
Early versions had a reputation for poor grading ability which was resolved with a revision to the valve block at some point.
I had a WN 28z3 (previous model to the EZ26 and not much different i think) before the Volvo, If i really needed a zero tail swing machine, i do miss it sometimes, i think the EZ26 would be top of the list, the side mounted engine has great access, pins and bushes seemed higher spec. than a lot of machines and nice to operate in general.
Hope this helps.
