Choosing a Tipping Trailer

all this assumes zero air system leakage though, as the air system is fail-safe (spring applied) and without air, the brakes will lock on

But even the smallest leak. Without a connection to keep charging it. Won't even make it out the yard. So isn't really a problem.

Some run dual lines on the trailer, so the tractor may not be equipped to pub the air.

It's the big ones that have air brakes and abs AND the "economy" gearing that irritate me. Looks to me like there is a competition to see who can get flashed by the 30 speed warning at the most over the limit 🤪
In my day trailer hauling I'd happily run with nothing connected in daylight and empty if I was dropping a trailer off in the field, I do feel that the current generation are pushing the boundaries way beyond what is sensible 🤔

Can't blame the current generation. Its the previous generation that are buying the tractors and giving the orders

That is very true 👍
The young ones take the risks while the oldies keep their operators licence nice and safe for when it all gets a bit difficult 😁
