Having run the same tractor as you, words can’t describe how much worse it is than a Kubota.I bought an Indian make compact tractor because it was cheaper initial outlay, about 40% less than Kubota judging by discussions with Doobin. I can't compare its performance to other makes as I haven't tried any others but so far it's been fantastic and done everything I needed it to. I am however anxious when I think of future issues or if some part breaks and I need to deal with the few distributors there are in the UK and there isn't much available help online for them. Resale value isn't an issue for me as I will run it into the ground eventually.
Compare it to the JCB digger however, no anxiety at all, even if its a JCB, there are 1000's of breakers yards full of JCB parts in the UK and thousands of forum posts all over the internet on fixing them. If I was in the same situation again I probably would try and squeeze the extra cash for the better brand with more reliable long term support.
Possibly the main difference, I went for the hydrostatic version, I wouldn't even bother with a compact tractor with gears personally. But hey, at least my Solis doesn't have a dumbbell hanging off the front!Having run the same tractor as you, words can’t describe how much worse it is than a Kubota.
My solis lasted around twenty hours on its clock before I sold it, and I was sick of driving it after just two. The new Kubota has a hundred hours already.
A modern tractor not having a live PTO is like someone selling a mini digger still driven by winches, cables and a steam boiler
But if it works for you then grand. It looks pretty repairable but part supplies would be my worry.
Yup, hydro is a dream to use.Possibly the main difference, I went for the hydrostatic version, I wouldn't even bother with a compact tractor with gears personally. But hey, at least my Solis doesn't have a dumbbell hanging off the front!![]()
Did you specify long weights? This could be the problem. @Hg2702 is still waiting atm for a long stand he ordered from Ireland.Yup, hydro is a dream to use.
The lack of weights a year after ordering is a sore point…
Is suitable for certain people lolvariation on La Sauterelle

no I have a 3 ton jcb but a 6 ton would be better for me now !! we’ve only done 700 hours in three years and the price of the carter is tempting but I can’t find any real reviews on the 6 which is abit of a stumbling block at the momentare you the guy selling them??????
Here let me assist.
Read this:
I did see that but I can’t just take one blokes review on a small digger that I’m not interested in buying as gospel across the whole line …. Just can’t find anything about any of the 6 ton machines which isn’t good considering they’ve been here for a few years now I think![]()
