What didn't you like about it? Personally wouldn't contemplate a zero in this size class. Just spent a bit of time using customers JCB 4.7t. It's the most unstable pointless machine ever. No point having all the power if the machine can't handle it.
They aren't really designed for your kind of work though. Zero swing are absolutely superb on house sites and compact sites.
Even with a 1.5t full tail swing I sometimes feel really restricted and spend all day with the arse rubbing barriers. I have spent hours digging just having to use the kingpost as you can't slew.
Also caters for those who don't look behind them.
I really dislike conventional tail swing machines but most of what I do is really cramped so conventional machines are just extra work
