Case hardened pins

Using anything other than hardened pins is just foolish! I have seen it all! Even en24t will not last long running on hardened bushes, especially on a 15 ton machine!
We keep hardened bar, that can be cut to length and drilled, (not easily though) i need to check what we have as not used any in a while, but I think you will be surprised at the price

definitely ....... after customs have had their bite at it too

yeh can be done .... create an enclosed hearth to get the job uniformly hot in an enclosed chamber ... but as Rob said kasenit is no longer available, which was the best on the market

Well done getting them through - I have been waiting for a delivery of 4 buckets that were ordered in early dec ....the pallet is somewhere with the transport company and this is the latest

Got the pins fitted today and delighted with how tight it all is getting .
one thing I need now is to change a couple of sets of bucket pins . I also need to build up a very small amount of wear in the jaws of the engcon . The bucket pins are in a Miller scoop bucket that has them set into the top off the bucket . I really like this as it keeps the extra build up of the hitch to a minimum . Only problem is it’s more awkward when they need to be changed . Because of this do you think case hardened pins would be a good idea or would they wear the hitch jaw more ? If it is a good idea can I get 4 more pins

how the hell you planning on getting the pins out of a scoop Vin?

The pins are a absolute pita to remove from a scoop bucket it would be far easier to build it up with weld and grind to shape there only for a q hitch so don't have to be perfectly round
