Utter joke. Nowt against women doing the job but seriously...
I heard yesterday scottish water appointed a heap of jobs locally , all women .
We need to recognise and celebrate the differences between the sexes . We shouldn’t be appointing women to any posts just because some HR manager has decided that they need to employ the same amount of women as men . It should always be best candidate for the job . wether they be black white pink yellow man or woman .

Unfortunately most HR departments are dominated by women so are able to mold big businesses to womans wants rather than maximising profits for the shareholders.

The comments sum it up nicely...anyone who thinks green bellends are going to get elected maybe in for a shock on polling day...
Trouble is they will probably get re elected. No mainstream party is against net zero or even for slowing the implementation. The fact that they are incompetent has never seemed to hold a politician back.

if as they as say, they've been running E-bin lorries since 2021, WTF do they not have the issues sorted already .... any right minded person would have the infrastructure in place before they ever arrived .. similarly should know that car/small vehicle chargers are NOT going to charge lorries --Tossers :mad:
wonder if they're renting the gennies off a council member's biz?? and are they using them at capacity, doing multiple charges or running them ad hoc as a truck needs charging

How about growing some food instead, but I totally agree with planting more trees we import so much timber, we could have more home grown food and timber offsetting what it costs to import

they've upped the rates to further incentivise their land owning mates to kick all the upland farmers off/re-take their hill rights and plant yet more bloody trees.
one hill round here has had a dose planted, (after they'd bought off all the farmer's hill rights) in a 'jobs for the boys scheme', led by an 'ex-vet' and an 'ex-solicitor', being paid silly amounts and getting 'volunteers' to buy the trees AND plant them ... Google -- 'stump up for trees' -- fiasco ... with a 75% (and rising) failure rate ... before the kids set fire to it this year, as usual

agreed, but food we need immediately/next week/continuously ... the timber crop is twenty years and more down the road .... with hardwoods being more like 50 years plus.
Forestry commission were 'sposed to be in charge of timber production ... we could never be self sufficient in timber ... UK ain't big enough

Makes me laugh....massive tree planting push...never much thought about when they've outgrown there playpens...be an outcry when they all need felling ...forests are treated like some spa place round here now....loonies paying to sit and hug trees and go forest bathing fffs .🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂😂 Meanwhile the feller bunchers are parked up in the distance ready for a massacre👌
