Lloyd’s are going to become a very big landlord through its PRS (Private Rental Scheme). They will provide finance and no doubt get first dibs on a lot of sites. They have recently purchased 150units on a site of 450.

This is a great example of how we are knackered as a country - unbelievable quantities of money get spunked on projects without anything tangible being produced/built.
People should be sacked a f****ng joke

That's it in a nutshell. Unbelievable. 8 times more here ... Too many folk on the gravy train
If there was an example that this government is no different to a last, that is it...
To be fair to them if they just cracked on instead of pissing about they'd get a lot more respect... Next May what the actual....🤬🤬🤬🤬

We are spending another 4 mil on a feasibility study to see if the A96 between Nairn and Inverness should be duelled. The Green Party pushed the snp for this . It’s the biggest waste of money and an excuse not to just get the feck on with it . Still no mention on the A9 either . That’ll need another feasibility study if they leave it much longer

Feasibility study.....ie no one in power has the balls to either say yes, let's do it or no, that's a stupid idea.

Either that or they have shares in the company doing the 'Feasibility study'

well here's one Co. that can't see much of a future in earthmoving equipment rental

" Ardent still has more than 2,400 telehandlers and started 2024 with 2,000 earthmoving machines and access platforms. As of last month, 1,400 of the latter had been sold out, and all 2,000 are expected to be gone by the end of December. "

Having rented stuff of Ardent, I am not sorry to see the back of their machines. Usually arrive in a terrible condition - you'd think straight out of the last tunnelling shaft they got lifted out of, they do a quick slap up job on the paintwork, buckets all full of concrete, give you an air freshener and off you go! And at least one of the machines will break down on you - which has happened to me on a few occasions. So much so, we have requested not to use them in the future. I expect I am not alone in this. Morris Leslie are my favourite, Charles Wilson aren't bad but they do love a basic Bobcat and I don't think an E26 is a 3ton class machine personally....
Shame because Fork Rent and One Call weren't bad firms back in the day individually.
