We get a view of that over the Downs from our house!

I was on the downs at devils dyke the day of the Shoreham airshow crash. Very sad event but the remaining planes did a fly past salute staright off so close to down you could see the pilots. Incredible to watch and incredible pilots

Judging by the way some of the old codgers drive around here we'll be lucky if we are still permitted to drive a car when we get to their age. Over 3 1/2 tonnes could be interesting although it does strike me that if I chopped Mrs. Navvy out for a younger model it would solve a lot of problems 😁

I hope she's not on here or I fear for your immediate future...

Well we fly to Prague tomorrow for a week. 2 nights booked airbnb then don't know where we are going😁
We had 2 nights in Prague then hire car towards Austria stopped at airbnb for 2 nights, mate fished me and other mate hired E mountain bikes.
Then towards Austria again and had 1 night in a airbnb (should have been 3 nights but it was terrible)
Towards Prague again and 2 nights in a medival town with river running through (plenty of rafting. All in all bloody good. Food, country side, beer and people were fantastic.
Just added up, about £1200

I really fancy making a camper out of one of those exmod daf 4x4 trucks.
Something like this
did you look further down at the Volkswagen ( pinzgauer ) ones, now they do look nice

Tbh, I don’t really get the “swamper style”. The man/crafter group on FB is full of them, some of which are 50k plus vans which will go no further off road than up the kerb 🙄
I would and do...but yes most don't get further than a public carpark they to tight to pay actual campsite rates up here...

I’ve got 2 MAN 4x4s, one on BFG All Terrains and one still on standard tyres. The one on ATs is actually surprisingly good across wet fields etc. The one still on road tyres is hopeless on wet grass, just spins all the wheels. I’m going to put ATs on that as well once the weather turns (or a set turn up at the right money!)
