Being a lifelong jcb owner until recent , you get used to constantly twiddling with them, and think it’s normal and acceptable!always pissing about on a weekend with injector pump, hydraulic pumps, electrical gremlins etc, be buggered if im going to fly the yellow flag if they're substandard
done a ktm haven't they...
I remember going to site with my 3cx strapped up in all manor of ways to keep her going and just thought that’s normal with plant.. 🫣 did a week with 1 jack leg once as it had worn through the steel hydraulic tube on the leg ram, now how the hell hadn’t jcb figured out how to stop that happening on a machine by that point they had made over 500k of?!

Guys!! Am I right to be pissed that it is now 9wks since Engcon unit went to get refurbished and still no sign of it arriving?? Except for the continuing next wk bull s**t…..Just got a update from jack at hullplant who is refurbing unit, Will be another 2wks yet as one of the worst units he has seen for corrosion!
Now tell me how can this be the case with it only being under 2 yr old (80hrs) and It has been stored in w/shop majority of its life with me from new

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
I'd be contra-charging against the eventual invoice - 2-3 weeks is far more than needed - they're just taking the piss (or got it out on hire)

Engcon played a blinder with their early marketing - there used to be a guy on here (or more likely the previous forum) who I think invested heavily into bringing them into the uk and subsequently got out once they gained traction. My dealings with them in 2019 were disappointing in terms of over-promising and under-delivering (combined with zero communication), and prior to that in 2016 they tried to force me into something I now realise would have been an unsuitable compromise.
I don’t think that there is a bad tiltrotator out there - I’d happily take any of the brands on offer today as long as they were realistically priced and well supported.
