Never understand why they don't all come with the bit of angle across the bucket rest that you can hook the bucket under. Then strap around the arm, pulling back towards the machine. My 9x4 has it as standard

I paid exactly that for that model, similar condition 10 years ago so price doesn't seem too far off the mark. Swapped it for my first 14ft flatbed, far more versatile but a big jump in size!what's keeping the ramp up ????? bolts are missing

can't have much of a payload - - and short tow bar, no bucket rest .... would've said about the right sort of/top money really

Bought my gd84 in 2017, didn’t see a bucket rest option but if required I just rest ditching bucket infront of headboard. 1t Thwaites is a nice fit!

I am pretty sure Graham has the gh84 with little jakie on which was the plant version of the gd84 ,it has a longer drawbar as well as the bucket rest which gives more clearance for the dipper arm against the tow vehicle.

I've had several GDtrailers. Still run the 8x4 single axle with mesh sides as ideal for plumbers vans for boilers and such like. Miss the GD84 twin axle as a lovely towing unit and would always follow in your tracks would carry 2000kg and with a max gross of 2700 off kg it pairs up nicely with 3.5t vans as that's usually there max trailer weight. Can't beat the GH1054 that replaced it , but sometimes smaller is better. PS @V8Druid there's a spring system that holds tailgate up..

On the theme of trailers what’s a good small trailer I could use behind 1 ton dumper to move micro. Just been doing a job on footpaths and was 20 min track in and out with dx10. Something narrow like a traffic light trailer might work. Not for road use, just footpaths and tracks as another big footpath job might come up with 3000m of path to relay.

would need more than a couple of springs, or it'd be bouncing about like Zebedee ..... it has two slide bolt brackets in the pic. with the latch eyes, but bolts are missing

I can fit my e10 on the gd64. Can also fit the 8010 on but have to hang the dipper over the back door (trailer has full cadge)

I’d like it narrower gauge often footpaths we are running on only 1200mm etc so was thinking like a red roller trailer or traffic light trailer
Traffic lights trailers only 750kg so no overrun and 1200-1300kg of dx10 might want a bit of overrun given how steep some of the job is.

Get a set of wheels made that will fit under blade to hold machine off the ground. Put bucket in the dumper skip and off you go (backwards)

I like the thinking but maybe with a hitch onto dumper pin hitch so can drive forward

Clever man with a welder and a set of pins/old bucket could make a hitch up. Would need some articulation in both directions.

far more stable with the tracks sat on the axle on some angles and could vary the balance so as not to be carrying all the load on the hydraulics, between the blade and the QH
this is a very canny guy off Maskinisten, who is very clever at just about anything he touches
