Funny size a 3.5 tonner is, as most will buy a 2.8ton to tow it or go up to a 5/6ton because you need additional transport anyway! They are obviously finding that out by having them sat in stock trying to ‘give’ them away.

Last place I worked we had a zx38u and most of the subbies that done work for us had most 3.5- 5 ton mini diggers.. talking in terms of hitachi zx33 zx38 and zx48 are really popular models.. although zx33’s I see regularly on 3500kg plant trailers but over here in general that sorta 3.5 to 5 bracket is really popular especially with small scale civils on roads footpaths etc

I've driven them. Quite nice to have auto idle which the 26 doesn't
