So its the Red Derv regs that are meaning sudden devaluation in bowsers then? I am in process of negotiating over a 2000l Trans-cube for 1.25K which is cheaper than I have seen before. I have a 2500 litre fuel station in the shed (basically new) that I am possibly putting up for sale soon... I was waiting to see if anything exciting would happen with HVO but doesn't look like it for a few years not (on the domestic front anyway)

A firm that used to be out Nottingham way had a 950l tank permanently fitted to a dmax single cab.

Another firm I know very well have a 950l fitted to a Chinese ldv and full up with derv is overweight and had to go back when new to be lightened. Fortunately they'd got a firm to build it for them so they stood to the lightening operations.

ADR regs kick in at 450 litres (I believe) so we are all taking the piss with IBCs/Transcubes/bowsers/

I thought it was at 1000l. Hence alot of tanks been 950l.

The firm with the ldv and 950 went that way as they downgraded from a 7.5t bowser and they only had 2 adr drivers and now they can nominate whoever to go out on it.

Yes you're right.. sorry I think I was reading about a different fuel - not Derv. I'm looking at buying a 2000l one so that will be out anyways.

I’ve noticed Most of them don’t even allow you to move your purchased items at all, you have to pay for removal no matter what. We were trying to buy an overhead crane from a workshop in Leeds which had this deal and they wanted £4.5 grand to take it out. Rip off . And there is nothing you can do about it. Needless to say we walked away.

Leave it til they have to be out of the building, turn up with a Hiab lorry

We once bought a 4 post ramp at auction, it was an ex council depot, everything had to be down and out by the following Tuesday! Monday we were aloud in to take down, turned up with our hiabed 8 legger and got the job of moving the other 5 ramps out of the building, our £1500.00 ramp cost us £100!

It used to be, I paid 10k a long time ago and got refunded after the auction, my account is still open, but it definitely gets rid of a lot of wheel kickers!

Some crazy prices. Shame its 2 working days round trip plus a few hundred in Derv.

It was £25k when we registered a few years back, spent 40k odd for a loadall and had to pay the difference. Maybe worth considering changing the loadall again if prices are back atm

Not big plant, but seen plenty of wacker plates and stihl saws making good money with online bids but in person they were missing plugs, plates cracked etc but photographed sneakily to miss those bits.
