do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
let the tyres down?
will make it worse with tyre bulge at bottom .. plus rims look to be nigh on same width ... spin rims around has been the best suggestion yet, other than take the wheels off and ideally lift it onto trailer .... alternatively ... borrow a flat bed to collect it with

Seller has a handler so will get it on somehow. Minus a wheel or 2 perhaps.

Loved the l322 from the moment I first saw them, I think they're one of the best looking cars ever made 😀 👌 Mad to think they're 20 years old now!
Very nearly bought one 4 years ago, bought a D3 instead. Every time I saw a l322 I regretted not buying one, every time I used all the huge van like space of the D3 I was glad I'd bought that! 😆

My l322's gone for scrap . Im quite happy to be rid of it to be honest.
It was very comfortable and quick for a fat lump but super fragile, it reminded me of a Fabergé egg .
If you want one for work I wouldn't bother as the handbrake is useless and unfixable.
And the air suspension is so problematic.
Coil conversion is no good either as you couldn't get hd springs.
I stripped the loom out before scrapping, incase I reuse the engine and the loom is like one on those ship mooring ropes.

which is precisely why I've never risked one

I think the D2 although its like driving a moped, it is much better made and so much more fixable.
The d3 is apparently just as crap as a l322.

Thats why I switched back to a d2, I know there is nothing on it that I can't do myself, with a mate or 2, in a weekend, for less than a grand. Apart from a chassis swap, they need 2.5 days and a bit more cash.
The d3 is reasonably home mechanic friendly, (apart from the body of jobs of course...) and they've been about 20 years so all the answers are out there online.
They are a fantastic vehicle to drive, tow with and work out of, just a constant worry in the back of your mind 😆 🤣

With regards to the chassis of a D2, it is costly, but it is possible. I was looking at older Hilux and ranger pickups the other day and I couldn't find a supplier of new chassis. So once it's rotten it's scrap.

I agree. The old rangers and hilux were good work horses. It’s a pity no one has made a galv chassis for them but I guess the demand just isn’t there like with the land rovers

I think the problem with rusted out rangers and hilux is that if the chassis has gone the body won’t be far behind.
Aluminium-bodied Land Rovers win in that department.
