My old spider crane is back on the market. Think its about 20 months since I sold it . Wonder why it’s moving again. Think I sold it for 22.5+vat with a IW GD84 trailer. He’s made it look pretty. I wonder what the paint job cost him. Not sure he’s going to get someone to pay £35K for it? No vat on it now so some sort of tax fiddle going on.
EDIT. Not sure it is mine . Says 2014 and mine was ten years older than that. Maybe he bought another and painted it the exact same colour. 100% the same guy though.

I don’t suppose anyone is going over to Leeds auction next week? I could do with something measuring.. just not worth the 4hr round trip for me!

Good day at the Thrapston Collective yesterday, didn't buy a huge amount but had a bid on a few bits- petrol mixers, whacker, little ladder. All reasonable enough prices if you needed them, just a bit much for me without a specific reason to buy them👍

Bought the cattle crush on impulse, £160. Seemed better than our old one that we paid £360 for years ago, getting them side by side its way better 👌
Gates for the shed, £36 each which was actually a little high compared to some of the others that sold earlier but a steal compared to new surely.

Riley project car went for about 1k, seemed ok

He’s bought a 1200 hour u45-4 as he hates his second -5 engcon equipped one so much, is it £10k less than last time he advertised it?
Be interested to drive it for an hour to know what's so bad with it that you can't live with, after going to the trouble of putting it all together 🤷‍♂️

Missed our local machine auction again today. Office work instead :-( Shame as would have been a lovely day to be pottering about.

Twice! This is his second one

U45-4 engcon
Case backhoe rototilt non starter
Turkish hidimech backhoe and rototilt (ran it for few months said it was too heavy and numb)
New engcon u46-5 and engcon (kept u45-4 and engcon)
Couldn’t get on with u46-5 so sells it
Gets talked into a kobelco sk50 and steel wrist
Thing was installed wrong or something (see videos)
Buys another new Kubota u46-5 and engcon
Offers it for sale 2 months later says he’s going to drive for local quarry as better money

Buys a 1200 hr u45-4 (Feb 2025)
Arguing with doobin on Facebook about rates for small kit think he was criticising ppl saying 350-750 rates so he must be around 250-300 a day!? Justified his low rate by saying he had equity in machines! Not sure now that works.

Was a great day for it👍 I could have been putting some posts in somewhere I'm sure but I'd finished up this weeks work on Thursday, didn't see any need to start next week's 😅

Here’s me with my original jcb and Engcon setup nearly 9 years later.. no problems at all 😂 ps no one in high peak is paying you 750/day that’s like a months wages for the hillbillies

No true, but also asking and defending 250 a day is a joke with a 70k machine and tractor trailer to move it.

We aren’t all hillbillies lol 😂
