Have always found JCB reps to be responsive- sadly they have never been able to supply what I wanted BUT were quick to say that they would pass feedback back to the factory (lack of roller twin aux options on 1.9 and 2.8t, lack of servos on micro).

On the subject of JCB it's unfortunate to see some of the X Series engineers/contributors being made redundant. It's worth noting that two of these people are the reason I can ignore the poor finish/build quality/PDI issues and land to the conclusion that it's probably the best 20t machine on the market... there attention to detail and attitude where second to none and if I had work for a new machine of that size they would of sold one without issue. Whichever firm they land up in will without doubt benefit from there excellent customer relations!

In my opinion no one cares.my local new Holland rep used to stay in touch and tried so hard to find me a backhoe probably 10years ago and searched all over Europe but could not find what I wanted.he retired and heard from no one since from that company.i never hear from volvo dealer either unless I contact them despite having now had 4 machines from them.i chatted with kubota dealer before I bought my last volvo and got invited to come and view a u27.arranged visit and travelled 70 odd miles and nothing there to see.that fcuked me right of too.coukd write a book on agricultural reps who all need a kick up the arse and very rarely come back to me.the odd phone call say every 6 months for a chat and stay in touch would go a long way in my opinion.im sure I’m not alone but probably too small to bother with.ill probably change my current machine before end of year so maybe I’ll be important again for 5 minutes.

Thats a point. Bobcat were very persistant for a couple of years, calling for a chat every few months before I bought my micro. Now they don't seem to care so much three machines later.

As long as their on the ball if you phone them regarding changing a machine or with an issue that's all that matters. Its a fine line between keeping in touch and being a pest. At the end of the day if you don't need to see or here from you're dealer it's a good sign in many ways imho. Outside of buying a machine i only here from my dealer when i ring up for filters when a service is due, suits me fine. Having said that i might change this opinion when i find out how sharp his pencil is shortly.
