In terms of being simple to work on and indestructible, it’s gotta be a smiley. I had the use of this one my mates Garage had as a local runaround, none-turbo. Not the fastest but did the job and a nice body to load. Mk7’s really pushed things forward and are a nice enough place to spend a day. The seats are much nicer than the T5 equivalent!

Transits are lovely things to sit in/drive/work out of. Mega comfortable, loads of storage space, brilliant bits of kit.
However, it is impossible to not look like a traveller in one.

Deffo agree there, I've said for as long as I've driven commercial motors the transit has always been the ones I can sit in comfortably on long journeys....not so with the mk8 as they aren't padded seats like the previous versions

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
This is like turkeys voting for Christmas.

Except ths one is retired now and doesn’t have to deal with this problem now anyway šŸ˜†

We won’t less regulation surely not more??!!
always ran straight so was never an issue anyway Ollie - 7.5t for running about - 18tonner for anything bigger - hired in for even bigger loads (we won't count the ser.III from Cardiff - early 80,s :ROFLMAO:)
self weighing trucks'd reduce the need for policing and enable everyone to run straight/safe ;)

I think okay in a van with correct colour, but a tipper transit does have a certain vibe. It’s why I went for a Movano when I bought one . First foray away from Ford .

Not sure where I saw it might be local Breedon quarry but they have lcd displays on all sides with their load weight displayed in foot high bright red letters. Certainly make enforcement easier

" a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine.
It is an engine already under the bonnet of the Kia Sorento, where it makes 148kW/440Nm and is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. "

Ā£20-ish K :oops::oops:

" we won’t be getting Kia’s pickup in the UK — Kia is entering the UK’s commercial vehicle market but is focusing on all-electric models like the new PV5 van "

What a fantastic idea (assuming the mechanicals are easily maintained and repaired).
