Late start today due to local flooding so used the time wisely.
I put a coat of rubber paint over the top last week and then stuck a sheet of galvanised metal sheet on it all. Added the checker plate where the digger and buckets sit.
Hopefully will last a while!!

Been off to Austria for a weeks skiing.
Blue sky and snow. What is there not to love.
But what is happening on our motorways?
From the Tunnel to Swindon almost all the motorway lights are out. On the M25 they seem just to be switched off. The new part of the M3 and the M4 do t seem to have them.
Have we just gone skint and switched them off?
As for the road surfaces. Not much danger of falling asleep at the wheel as they all seem forked!!
Is it me or am I just getting old? Night driving seems to have no pleasure!!

Mega week for it, I’m jealous!
I’ve done a magical mystery tour this week taking my son to his school ski trip in Italy after he wasn’t allowed on the coach (up all night with sickness and diarrhoea, was still on the bog when the coach went without him). My wife and I had a week in Lanzarote booked (her idea, I’d have much rather been skiing…) so I ended up increasing the EasyJet shareholders fund flying him Manchester-Innsbruck, hired a car to drop him in Val di Fiemme, then flew Innsbruck-Gatwick-Lanzarote the next day.
The mountains looked amazing!!!! 🤩

Must add more to this thread…….
So SHMBO was invited to A big bash in London for her industry awards night. Not being a big fan of the Smoke, I swallowed a personality bypass pill and suggested that dear daughter would have finished her school Adams on Wednesday, so perhaps we should all travel up and take advantage of the paid for overnight stop to take in some culture.
Checked into the very swanky Royal Lancaster Hotel on the corner of Hyde Park, to find ourselves on the 17th out of 18th floors with an executive suite with a view of the London skyline.
The delicacies were delivered by room service about 5mins after we had entered the suite.
Took a trip to the National Art Museum and The British Museum (Contains stuff not British in origin, just stolen from around the world)
Wife was sent into the bar to mingle with the executives from her work whilst daughter and I ventured to watch a show that she had picked out. Her delight made it a very wise decision to travel up.
The following morning we were amazed at the extra special treatment we received at breakfast service. I think being on the 17th floor brought an added dimension to what appeared to be very high standards all around the hotel.
At this point my wife said that all the other employees left in taxis at the end of the evening to go back to the travel lodge where they had been booked to stay.
I do wonder if a last meeting booking by a very large Pharma company had someone in the hotel thinking she might be someone slightly more important than she is!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
Either way, it was nice to have a touch of how others on the high side experience service!!!
Probably back to the roof tent for the next adventure!!
