So if you order a double cab and it takes months to come in as long as it's ordered before April it qualifies?
That's what I've been told.

And that's how I read the legislation:

Transitional arrangements will apply for employers that have purchased, leased, or ordered a double cab pickup before 6 April 2025, whereby they will be able to rely upon the previous treatment until the earlier of disposal, lease expiry, or 5 April 2029.

I have put off trying to buy another van this tax year . I want a decent L2H2 silver 340 custom with AC but can’t seem to find one that isn’t MHEV and buggered if I’m buying a van with an extra battery system that has sod all benefit and is just one one more thing to go wrong. Will keep looking and waiting.

Well I was selling one of my old trucks but not that old as its euro6 but after further debate, I've had some work done to it to stop any issues which they are common for (ie oil dilution) and while there had it remapped. There is nothing new available that I actually want to go out and buy...literally nothing.

Contemplating buying an Izuzu with alloy back but not many about. Had price on new earlier see Monday if it comes down in price.
Spoke to wacker dealer yesterday machines in short supply after too much stock 22 to 23 so cut production apparently. Now short on stock sounds like convid all over again!

Can't see the 2.5 being great on fuel once your out of the 25 mile range.
Yet again more not fit for purpose crap being pushed on people.
I know it's not the same engine but our petrol 2.5 5 cylinder duratec smax doesn't even make it to 30 mpg when empty, so a custom with a cylinder less and moving more weight I can't see it getting anywhere near fords figures

The MHEV ones have the normal 2.0l wet belt engine with a generator instead of alternated and a 48v battery under driver seat. Regenerative braking and more aggressive stop start system. Will add power back in via generator when it can. So you get about 5% more efficiency but an extra system to go wrong . Sod that

Seem to get better choice and price on MK8 than you do the Custom.

Are there any 4x4 vans that will tow 3.5 tonne? Been looking online but they all seem to be 3 tonne tow capacity. Looking to change the Hilux for a van but still need 4x4 capability.
