Check the spigot in the end of the crank shaft/ flywheel!
None of the current Cat machines with a CaterPerkins have a spigot Bearing. The actual T/C carries the front of the shaft and the T/C is centralised on the flywheel by a flange. IIRC the JCB box is a very similar set up, probably took design cues from Turner.unless I'm mistaken, there should be a spigot bush in here too ..... always has been on every TC I've pulled outView attachment 38144
I think the darker ones are nylon if I'm not mistaken! They did a run of nylon and I think it didn't work out well for themView attachment 38533anybody know the difference between the two pistons in the reverser . The original darker one has a small hole in the outer diameter. The new lighter one has a bigger hole with a ball in it.
