When you consider they use 3 radio controlled car batteries inside i think they are often asked a bit much of and are inherently unreliable as a cause of using batteries way outside what they are designed for.

Turned it on first to see the lights then off, connected to battery and failed to start.

Mine is sometimes ‘fussy’ and does similar. Try turning it on and then hold down the ! button - I think that’s supposed to bypass any safety features (reverse polarity etc) and give the full beans.

Maybe the dumper battery is completely dead? It might be time to get it a new one. Have you stuck a multi meter on it?
I don't think those Micky mouse starters are supposed to replace the main battery, just add a bit to it. That's my understanding but I could be wrong.

Tried the button a few times and did another video, no change. M+j came out and changed the battery as its a hire machine

Picked up two of the little ftx tracer remote control cars not super fast but good fun, although went to a skate park and crashed it into a bin near enough straight away. Shattered the body but still going strongcan I play with you radio controlled car?

It's not a replacement for a battery. It uses capacitors and circuitry to deliver the cranking amps required from a small battery. It even says in the instructions not to use it as a traditional battery.
Brendan, if the battery is stone cold flat you often need to hold down the button as @Monkeybusiness says, otherwise the jump pack may not recognise that it's connected. If it won't start that dumper even then, it might be a dud- it should piss that.

I bought one of these as well, and I have to say its my go to booster.missed the chance of one of those, back when we were discussing them then ..... BIN-ed it and the bloody net went down for 2 days .... out of stock by the time it came back up .. 160 quid was a total steal ..... been hoping they'd come back down again https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142846208448 ... but haven't yet and doubt they will .... may have to bite the bullet
The g150 is OK but I find it temperamental

With 12.2v showing on the digital display of the booster should have span that starter with ease

If they workbeen in me watch list ever since Aiden, but still at 200 quid .... gonna have to bite the bullet and pay it I think .. don't need a jump often, but so handy to have when you do

Must be honest. I brought one of these.... personally I've more faith in it..... TBH it also will jump 5-6 machines before you need a charge!
When it's flat if needs must fk it on 24v and it will still put out 13v or so to start a van.

I hate it in a yard full of vehicles when people park them in stupid ways so you can't jump them.
And driving vehicles forwards in so you have to drag them out before you can even open the bonnet.
I think lorry's are best parked alternating directions battery's end up next to each other and hopefully one can jump the other.
First 2 weeks of winter where I work are chaos in the morning as all the week batteries are found.

Just make sure you park stuff sensibly beginning of winter. You'll soon find weak batteries when the cold comes (usually bils transit van)aye .. got three sets made up with 250A welding lead, of varying lengths
It doesn't matter which way round machinery is parked as long as i can get pickup to it leads will reach.
