Yeah Its a good system with the front window- it's not so much summer that bothers me but more in winter when you have the heating on and it gets all misted up in side you just want a small airflow to draw the moisture out etc. I wondered about something like you suggest to hold open the right hand door but wondered if it pinned back would prevent adequate airflow than to the radiator

I do like these all these machines in black though. Keeps it looking tidy. Doesn't show up greasy, rust, algae quite so much. Takeuchi are dreadful for this

Not sure black is so good tbh - agree on the tak been tricky to keep looking smart - in my exp yellow is as good as anything no matter what the shade

How's the paint holding up on your WN? Is it flaking off anywhere. I've heard the grey isn't as good as the yellow?

Said exactly this to my mate on site today, inside of the 217s canopy has lots of visible rust spots coming through, only 4 years old and a shade over 1000 hours. It'll never rot structurally but its not a great feature
Colour definitely shows grease etc, can really see where I wiped it after greasing yesterday.

Yeah. As long as it properly clicks into place. Not some nasty rattly design that does ones head in.

Yellow very good - and canopies come up like new - only bad bit is side skirt on door side, around sharp edges and where my muddy boots have bunched it and let water n muck in.

Looks pretty good to me. To be fair most modern machines seem loose the paint at any sharp edges. I don't know why, doesn't seem like they do much in the way of priming- water based paints

To be fair. Looking around. A duck at £50k will be 6 years old, done 6000 odd hoururs and won't have a tilty. So on that basis you could buy that yamar and perhaps only loose £25k (?) over 5000hrs. Even if you sold it for £50k after 5k hours that's about £57 per working day. Doesn't seem so bad after all

A lot are powder coater, and powder coat doesn't like sharp edges, if every edge was radius it would more than likely be fine.

The grease gun door tends to rust on wackers but there not hard to take off and repaint. The manufacturers have all gone to not shotblasting or priming machines before there painted so the paint just peels off if it gets a small scratch.

I reckon someone has lost a bunch on the yanmar duck I'd have expected that setup to be 150k when it was new, anyone want to buy a case duck?

£250 an hour depreciation- ouch! More than that actually because Mcleans would have given less than that for it.!

Where are all the decent used machines!? For years now people (including on here) have been alluding to the fact that the market will soon be flooded with cheap machines! Well I ain't seeing them. A handful of bog basic hire spec shitters and that's about it! A brand new Wacker ET20 with all the extras comes in at around £27k if there was a selection of low houred high spec machines at £16k-£18k then it would be worth looking at them but there isnt.

Yeah looks ridiculous, but you'd have to try it to be sure, as you say gripper looks a hell of a lump as well compared to the rest.

Reminds me of a setup I tried at an engcon dig dsy a couple of years back. Tb225 with a the same setup.

Horrible to drive, totally unbalanced.
