I need some advice with the painting . I started with the grey and am delighted with how it went on hand painting with a brush . I did weigh up the roller but the areas are to fiddly so I settled on the brush .
Few more coats needed. I find red paint is the same tooView attachment 31368Once I’d done the grey I started painting the skip with the yellow .
Both paints are K1 from Dingbro .
The problem I’ve got with the yellow is that it’s really not very opaque and it looks like it’ll need about ten coats to cover the marks underneath .
Should I off primed it first ? If so can I prime it on top of the yellow coat I’ve just applied and what colour primer should I be using ?
you did mix the paint firstView attachment 31368Once I’d done the grey I started painting the skip with the yellow .

Yellow has always been a nightmare for covering even with domestic properties on wallsView attachment 31368Once I’d done the grey I started painting the skip with the yellow .

YepSo the verdict is keep painting more layers
4" radiator roller Vin .. long handle is good for getting at bits easier ... I use fleece rollers ... the foam ones don't last long ... you need rollers that handle gloss, not emulsion ... the glue lets go real quick with emulsion onesWhat’s fabricators friend Graham ? I googled it but couldn’t find anything![]()
no a 4" one ... big un,s are bloody hard work and very inaccurate .... you'd be amazed what sort of edge you can 'cut' with a 4"A bloody great paint roller!
Think I would rather have brush paint marks than yellow hydraulic hoses.

I use Werth's Tiger rollers Vin .... buy 'em in boxes of ten ... these look pretty similarI will get one to do the skip . It looks like I’m going to be coating it for a while![]()
yellow is a bitch to cover with ..... when I painted Ollies trailer it took several coats to cover, but at least with a roller you can put a thicker cover on than with a brush ....... aaaand paint quality is not what it was ...
blue.......

to yellow, in about 4 coats IIRC ..... 1st coat looked terrible

red was the same ...... plenty of coats to get a deep cover

'T ain't the best of temp.s ATM either, for shiny tish-ing
bugger .... missed a trick there ....... should've put under planings heating into the patchI was looking at this earlier on on your thread! You made a nice job of the trailer .
Fortunately when I built my garage I put under floor heating in it . It’s a bit expensive to use but bloody great for doing jobs like this
