I'll take your OOps and raise you one from Bristol................................

A truck crane within a construction zone on a UK highway became wedged under a bridge, causing hours of delays near Avonmouth, Bristol, on Monday. A video clip of the incident was uploaded to Facebook by Scott Davies, a work colleague of the man who filmed it. Within the clip, the crane is shown halted at the bridge, seemingly stuck against the overpass.

A spokesman told Deadline News, “The safety of our road users is paramount, and the road was closed following the incident while structural engineers carried out a full inspection and assessment to ensure the structural integrity of the bridge.”

Thorough inspection revealed that the bridge structure was not damaged, however some minor surface repair work was needed. Highways England is continuing to investigate the incident.

this is one major oops ... mid October 2007 ... one of BWW's guys notices the canal water 'flowing' a bit more than usual and being an experienced chap, dropped some stop boards in where he was ..... was several miles further down, before he managed to find someone (on his phone) close enough to drop more in ..... several miles of canal holds a LOT of water, all be it, not phenomenally deep ... but still A LOT ..... the Mon & Brec. is a contour canal and hugs/follows the lie of the land ... a lot of it is up on the hill sides around here  and water flows downhill ... especially when it finds a way out  ...... and there is no way of stopping it :(

it continued on down, from the road to a river below, cutting a.n.other serious channel, through fields as it went, before filling the river and fields with the rest of the scenery it'd just dozed its way through .... one of the brolley bearers, above may well be Pam
I also have a 12 minute video of the scene from the air, taken by Mr Plod ..... I will get strung up for posting it though :oops: .... see if I can get some screen shots from it ... the devastation has to be seen to be fully appreciated

It took several months to just clear and stabilise the scene, aside from the 18 months to rebuild the mountain side through which the canal continues to run today

Breach is a dirty word in the canal fraternity  ...... this was the fourth I can recall, in my lifetime.... very luckily all have occurred during daylight hours and no one's ever been killed (y)

Tainan Chinatown, which is currently undergoing demolition, had a construction site accident at noon yesterday. There were three strange pictures on the Internet, but the government issued a check-in. When it was over, the staff urgently avoided. There were no casualties.

The hair development bureau said that the height of the strange hand fell about 3 meters, mainly because the Chinese city was demolished from the top down, and the construction waste that had been removed must be piled up, and the steel and other materials were separated. When working on the waste soil piled up on the ground, the earthwork under the strange hand could not bear the weight of the strange hand and fell, causing 3 strange hands to overturn, but the speed of the sinking was slow, and the driver escaped before the overturn, near the The operators were also unaffected.

The 3,000-pyeong Chinatown is a well-known landmark in southern Taiwan. It was built in the Republic of China in the past 72 years. In recent years, it has been declining due to the relocation of shops and residents. The city government will be demolished from March and will be planned as a park in the future.
