Any recommendations for a decent battery grease gun ?

Really a micro needs that much grease. Do you only greaee once a year? Other than kingpost even my 9 tonner if done regular enough rarely needs more than 3.

So grease little and often. But in any case if you can get away with 3 pumps on nearly everything on an 8 tonner there's something wrong if a micro is needing more.

I've got the Milwaukee m18 and it's a hateful thing.
JCB grease cartridge always gets sucked into the holder so I have to unscrew the opposite end, remove the plunger to get it out.
To be fair I probably use too much grease, I leave it set on 4 pumps and just keep going till grease starts moving around the pins.
I have kept all the greasing down to 10 hours on the clock rather than everyday

I used to have this issue too. But realised you don’t need to massively tighten the tube holder into the gun. Doing so forces the cartridge past the end of the holder and makes it harder to remove. All I use is JCB grease and have no bother with it now.

I bet you don't even have an offcut of carpet on the floor and cleaning products in the cup holder

I’m using two of these, never had this issue with Cat cartridges. Unscrew the body, and always the cartridge comes out easily. Another example of Cat>JCB

I bought a cheap ebay one, and the grease tube holder comes off the head since the thread seem to have been turned too shallow.

I can use the tube from my manual pump, and it works that way.
However I think an old fashioned compressed air one with a big bucket and a long hose would be way better.

..... is far from portable sadly, 'cos they are a great way to grease, if you use a lot

OK OK, I do have a manual grease gun in the toolbox to tension the tracks. But I avoid maintenance work when away. So a pneumatic grease pump will stay in the shed together with the compressor. They do seem to be more powerful and reliable. And more expensive too

This one has a decent price $300 australians

This is $1240 bucks, a tad exaggerated. I bet I can knock one like that together for 1/3 of that price. .

I am sure the Milwaukee is a very good gun. Found someone selling a Macnaught 18v grease gun 1.5 years old for $120 ... will pick it up Monday. They sell for $600. Don't feel like spending over a thousand for the pneumatic one.
